Audrey and Gerard were still talking when Gerard slipped in “Oh make yourself at home, what’s mine is yours … not literally though” Ash and Audrey laughed politely I think Gerard meant it though, I walked up to my room and messed around doing a bit of decorating, when I say decorating, I mean, Gerard has already put the nails in the wall, I just need to put the pictures on the wall.
Then I heard a knock on the door, “Come in!” I shouted. It was Ash, he walked awkwardly in looking at the pictures slanted on the wall. “Hey. I got bored of listening to Gerard and Audrey ramble about their tour coming up so … yeah” I nodded. He helped me lift up the heavy frames to put on my wall, “So were you adopted?” I asked Ash “Yeah not too long ago” I looked at him with a little smile “Same, but I’ve been here a few weeks and I’m still decorating” he gave a little laugh, and his smile was gorgeous, you could see all his teeth, his smile was big.
“So what’s your story?” I asked him thinking there was no harm done. He looked down.
“My mother … died when I was very young and my dad couldn’t look after me since I have my mothers eyes, he couldn’t look at me” “So your fostered then?” He nodded but was hesitant “I like to consider myself adopted, I don't really want to consider that man a relative to me if you know what I mean?” I made a humming noise understanding what he means. He shook his head quickly and looked at me with wide eyes as I sat on my bed, I indicated for him to sit wherever he wants “So what’s your story Carma?” I gave a sarcastic laugh, “Ha! There is no story, my story has only just begun, I'm one of those ghost kids, never knew my parents, true orphan, just like Peter pan! Or Aladdin! To put a nice spin onto it” I ended with a smile, its hard not to smile now, because everything is just going to amazing, to think that I'm talking about being an orphan in the past tense! How its not present, how its all behind me. This is my new life and my once upon a time starts here, “We are 2 lucky kids” Said Ash crawling up next to me “Damn right”
We stayed there sitting on my bed for ages talking about anything and everything. To Christmas to school. I hope I’m going to a public school so I can get more friends, but Ashton is home schooled by the foster home people so I wont get to see him. So far Ashton is my best friend and my only friend that is my age. We began talking about the tour and where it’s going. He said that’s all Audrey ever talks about she cant wait.
“Ash come on or I’m leaving with out you” Audrey sang up the stairs, it was a shame they had to go, it was nice to get a friend, and he's a nice person too, I said good bye and Gerard said they finally have a date for the Tour its going to be next month and Audrey is in charge of everything, the whole operation. That should be fun.
