Karma Follows You

One of Gerard's friends Audrey had texted Gerard and said she had a surprise for me, even though I don't know her, But Gerard must have told her about me. We wondered what it could be, he assumed it was a present or something like that. He told me they knew each other by going on tour together, Gerard begun to tell me what it’s like being on tour, their lifestyle is amazing, I love hearing about it, he told me what it’s like to play on stage in concert, he told me it’s just like playing a guitar just 100 times louder and that you feel it in your gut and your bones.
In a matter of time she was at the door, through the kitchen window I could just see a glimpse of bright pink hair as she walked in, Gerard greeted her loudly, it wasn't just Audrey though? “Carma! Come here!” I quickly ran to meet these new people, “Hey” she said to me loudly with a Cheshire grin on her face. She surprised me with her sudden kindness and happiness, I stepped back a few paces, “Oh yeah, she's real shy” this only made me turn red, I looked at my shoes because I didn't know where else to look. There was an awkward silence because of the surprise, Gerard scratched the back of his neck turning a bit pink himself, “So um, where's this surprise?” Audrey looked to her left and looked surprised herself, “I don't really know” she jumped and turned around and opened the door again, she made a gesturing notion with her hand, “I left my surprise in the car, silly me” she really struck me as a peculiar character, seconds later a tall boy shuffled in looked pretty awkward himself, he nearly made eye contact and he didn't seem to know which pockets to put his hands in “Tadaaa! My adoptee!” As she was saying this she did big gestures towards the boy next to her.
“Hey” I said to the boy, he might know what it’s like, us adoptee’s living in hell finally saved. “His names Ashton I call him Ash” she said excitedly. Aston. I could get used to that, I love the name Ashton. His hair looked a little over grown and he had a long fringe that swooped over to his right ear. Gerard said hi and shook his hand. “I’m Carma Way, Carma with a C;” I said shyly. I’m normally shy as you can tell I’m one of those people that when you meet them there all shy and quiet but when you make the effort to know them they are quiet loud “Hey, I’m Ashton. Ash for short... as you already know”
He said smiling at me. He put his hand out for me to shake but I was kind of lost for a moment, looking at him, looking for some other colour other that sky blue I keep seeing every time I look at hid eyes. I forgot about his hand for a second but I came back to reality and shook his hand before he could notice me staring off into another world.
