Carma The day Emily informed me I was to be adopted by Gerard, made everything that sucked right now suddenly seem like I didn't matter. Everything was suddenly pointless and just a boring wait until my outings with Gerard. He took me everywhere, he do what everyone else did, which was normally – where they lived and where I would be attending school, they would take me to their friends house and to meet other relatives. But not Gerard, he took me to the fun-fair and the beach, he even took me to the cinema to see a few films. He was taking me to places I've never been before in my life, he would ask me if I had been to the place or that place, and I would always say no. Because of this I loved him, he would let me have fun, and he wouldn't bully me or care about the future. He and I had fun. He was slowly becoming the father I'd never had and the best friend that I will never get. The day finally came when I got to go home with Gerard and live with him, I got to meet his friends and see his home. He wanted to keep it a surprise, he walked in shouting. It was 7:00 in the morning and he barged through waking everyone up, “Carma! Lets go home! Caaaarrrrmmaaaa!” I awoke with a massive grin on my face, I then looked at the foot of my bed and saw my pre-packed suitcase, the only thing left is the sheets on the bed, and I wasn't going to take them, I got up and put on a white summer dress with a pair of black boots. Only quickly I ran down the stairs and jumped on the shouting Gerard playing his own game of hide and seek, “Hello Monster!” he said playfully and he spun me around on his back, I laughed loudly. Emily came scurrying down the stairs in her dressing gown and slippers, “Mr. Way, I said 7 PM not 7 AM!” Emily screamed in annoyance. Gerard and I chucked at his little mistake, she sighed heavily, “Oh. Well now you're here might as well do it now, get you both out of my hair quicker” she said with a scowl on the face, “Psssssssttt, I knew the time, I just couldn't wait. And that was funny” he said between little sniggers, he then followed Emily into her office for the final paper work. “Yes guys! The little bitch is finally going to go!” said Mina and her little friends as Gerard left me in the hallway, my smile instantly faded, “just because I'm getting out before you” her evil little snare dropped to a sad face, but then scrunched up immediately to angry “You cheeky little bitch, you think I want to be in your shoes, I don't want to be going home with a little kid, I bet he's not even got a job, I bet only someone as worthless as him could adopt someone as worthless as you!” these words hurt, and I couldn't help it but tears brimmed in my eyes, I couldn't help it. I then ran to my bedroom to bring down my suitcases, so my exit can be quicker. When I brought down my only suitcase I then see that Gerard had finished his paper work and was there with open arms. His kind hazel eyes looking at mine with such happiness, “Lets go home Carma” he said gently, he picked up my suitcase and jabbed me in the side, “That's right, we're going home!”
