I appreciate that they are giving me support “No I’m okay” and I walked out of the car waiting what I got to do. I walked in and I heard a load of kids running must be about 20-25 kids there When I walked though the door I was instantly greeted by this woman that reminded me of Mary popping’s on a heroine. She seemed caring but too caring, like it was an act. “Hello I’m Emily I work here if you follow me to my office we can fill out some papers and then we will begin the interviews” I followed Mary Poppings to her office and sat down I fill out some- a lot- of papers Lets get ready for getting sick of writing my name. I looked threw the files of kids and I knew I wanted a girl but not a little girl, I want a girl I can hang out with as well as be a dad to. So I picked eleven kids to interview as well as two boys who seemed sort of cool.. First was a girl called Marie? I waited for what’s her name to come back with her she walked in and a girl about 9, ginger hair, yellow t-shirt and a skirt. To be honest her head shot looked better she talked to me about skipping. I only vaguely knew what skipping was, We went through 2 more kids and this girl Mina came in she was all right. She had dark brown hair and brown eyes but when she saw me her face turned to horror. And at the end she asked me if I'm a pedophile. Mary Popping's told her off. The next girl was called Karma. Seemed she had got hold of her file and scribbled out the 'K' and replaced it with a 'C' she was 15 years old and had an interesting picture, she didn't smile like the rest of them did. “This is Gerard way,” said Mary Popping’s calmly “I will leave you two to talk” I liked that girl she seemed a lot like me and after the interview I had 5 other kids to talk to when I already knew I wanted her. I’m not sure if she knows if I already decided, but I had spoken about changing the world to the other kids and they were cynical, trying to find a kid who's real, but still has hope in this god forsaken world. She stood out 'Weird but wonderful' It was the end and Marry Popping's was talking to me about responsibility and the papers “so. Who would you like to adopt” I was looking threw the folders making her think it was a hard choice “I want to adopt… Karma” and I passed her the folder, Mary Popping’s face changed into confusion and UN sure- ness? She printed out a few papers and red a few and shredded a few. She handed me a pen and a thick pile of papers. “Read it if you agree hand it in tomorrow. And this one. Sign this one now and put your initials here and take this” as she said this she gave me papers and more papers. I think the tree that got cut down to make this book thing is extremely disappointed to be printed with so many boring things. I walked out with the papers coming up the middle of my chest. And I walked out thinking; I’m going to be a dad. I'm going to change someone's world.
