The Way I can Tell
Starlight and Frizzy hair
I laid in one position for most of the night not sleeping. The boy kept running through my head.
Who was he, where were his parents, how old was he? I needed to find out the answers to these questions, the identity of the boy in blue.
About three in the morning Ray turned in his sleep so that his hair was in my mouth. His skin shone in the starlight and I smiled with a twinge of longing.
Okay so maybe I liked him a little bit, but not a hell of a lot. Just enough to drive me to hold him closer to my body. Enough for me to want to keep him warm and safe if only for one night, if only for a moment.
Ray curled into a lose ball in my arms and I smiled. I watched the stars drift by lazily as time passed from hour to hour. I wish it could stay like this forever. But all too soon, I had fallen asleep myself.
My dreams are horror fests. Thats all I have to say on the subject.
Tonight's dream was pretty grusome, too. It started out nice. I was in a meadow watching the dark violets grow from the earth with the boy in blue sitting by my side. We watched the clouds pass by and the hours pass from day to night in a matter of minutes.
The boy in blue leaned himself over me but I can't recall the details of his face or body. He kissed me tenderly for what seemed far to short of a time, but then his eyes grew wide and he fell over and died. A gun shot wound to the head it seemed. I looked for the source of the shot and saw Ray standing with gun in his hands, smoke coming of the barrel.
"There can only be one Gerard." He said aming for my head.
I woke up screaming
