The Way I can Tell
Boy in blue
"What was that?" I asked Ray, still staring at the window waiting for him to come back.
"Its one of the paitents, Gee, no one special." Ray said tugging me along the wall.
No, hey might not be anything special but I was curious as to who he was. Instead of pressing for information, I simply followed him to the warmest place back here.
Ray sat down and pulled two pillows out of his bag. I sat by him and pulled a few blankets out of my own bag.
I know what you're thinking, you're probably thinking "Well they must love eachother" or something but thats not true. It was like twenty-four degress out and we had to stay warm. Don't judge okay.
Well anyway, I sat by Ray and pulled out my blankets and a package of crackers I had mannaged to steal the other day.
Ray's eyes lit up when I handed him half of them, maybe a little more than half. By the way he looked, he needed them a lot more than I did.
We ate in silence for a long time before we had finished the crackers off and were ready to sleep.
"Hey Gee?" Ray asked breaking the silence that hung like icicles in the air.
I looked at him curiously. "Yeah?"
"Why do you care about who the boy in blue is? He's probably one of the west side richies. He doesn't affect you in the slightest." Ray said a tinge of concern seasoning his joking tone.
"Something just feels different about him I guess." I replied faking a yawn.
Ray nodded yawning as well.
I layed down on the pillow and stared at the sky. I could feel Ray lay down to and I cuddled him trying to keep us both warm for the night.
