The life I chose to live

I miss you so far

~Frank's POV~
"Hey Mikes! Yeah I'm good... uh huh... what kinda surprise? For all of us? Okay... yeah we're here now! Wait, you know where we're living at the moment right? Okay, see you soon, bye!" I was eavesdropping on Gee's phone conversation with his younger sibling because, you know, I was curious. He walked back into the living room and lightly kissed my forehead. "Mikey's coming over and he's bringing a surprise with him. Can you get the kids? He'll be here any minute." He said and I nodded, heading for the stairs.
"Kids! Can you come downstairs please! Uncle Mikey's coming over and has a surprise for us," I yelled. The girls immediately ran down the stairs and patiently sat in the living room.
After Mikey arrived, Gerard, Mikey and I all sat on one of the couches, while the kids sat on the other, waiting for Mikey's surprise.
"So where's this surprise you were talking about Mikes?" Gerard asked and his brother was about to answer when there was a knock on the door.
"At the door. I think you and Frank should answer it Gee," he replied.
We both stood up and headed for the door. I opened it cautiously and the people that stood in front of us nearly made me pass out in shock. "Jamia?"
Lyn-z?" Gerard said and the girls both nodded. We wrapped them in tight hugs and cried for what felt like a lifetime.
We took the girls into the living room and over to the couch that Gerard, Mikey and I were sat on, Gerard and I stood behind our old wives. I beckoned Cherry and Lily over to me and Jamia and told the girls who she was. "Girls, this is Jamia... your mom," I said, wiping a few stray tears from my face. Lily hugged Jamia and sobbed but Cherry ran upstairs and slammed her bedroom door.
~Lyn-z's POV~
Gerard and I walked over to our daughter and sat either side of her.
"Hey Bandit," I said. She turned around, looked me up and down, and turned to her father who nodded.
She turned back around and a lone tear fell from each eye. "Mommy?" She said an almost inaudible tone.
"Yeah, it's me B," I said and she hugged me while she sobbed.
"Where have you been? It's been like 13 years... I've missed you so much," my daughter said, looking up at me with tear-filled eyes.
"It's a long story baby girl," I said, stroking her long dark hair while Gerard rubbed her back...
