Love and Guns
Iero and son #2
Frank was dreading the day he would have to come Into work with his father. He knew that he would have to work with guns-which he hates- and drugs. He didn't really mind drugs, but when he was younger, he saw his mother get shot, so he never really liked the thought of guns.
Usually, the only time Frank even comes near the warehouse is when his father had wanted to speak with him. Other than that, he stayed away. He felt so out of place when he walked through the isles of boxes and gazed at the workers. They all hated him because they thought that since he was the bosses kid, he would get special attention. They never let him know how they felt about him, though, because they knew he was going to run the buisness someday, and they wanted him to like them.
Frank, of course, didn't pay attention to any of them. He thought they all looked the same, and acted the same. The only one he really talked to was Louie.
Louie was a 7 foot man with big, meaty arms. He was Frank's dad's best friend and he treated Frank like more of a son than his actual dad did. Frank was always appreciative of Louie.
As he walked though the door to his dad's office, he felt his heart pick up. There was a man that Frank didn't know sitting in the chair across from his father.
"Frankie boy, this is Ron. He's gonna be safeguarding this place for a while. There was a hit outside of a bar yesterday, and one of our guys got beat pretty bad. Turns out it was the Ways." He said. Frank leaned over and shook the man's hand.
"If you see me in public or anything like that, try to act like you don't know me. I'm keeping a watch and I can't let other people know it, alright?"
Frank nodded his head, then took the seat next to the man.
"Frankie, since it's your first day, I don't think I'm gonna have you do a whole lot. Make sure Louie has stock taken, then you can head out."
Frank stood back up, then went to find Louie. He found him standing next to a pile of boxes, marking something down in a notebook.
"Hey Louie, do you have stock taken?"
"Sure do. I'm all over it."
"Alright, see ya!"
Frank quickly walked out of the warehouse and made his way to his car. He really needed a fucking drink.
He never liked the bars in his town because they were always sketchy, so he drove to the richer neighborhood and found a bar there. He parked his car, and went inside. He felt small compared to everyone else. They were all in nice suits, and the bar was made out of glass. He walked over to it and sat down and ordered his drink from the girl across the counter.
Frank had barely put his drink down after finishing it, when he noticed a man with long, raven hair sitting across the room. The man had striking hazel eyes, and he was staring at Frank. Frank felt himself blush, and he looked down. When he looked back up, the man wasn't there anymore, and he felt sort of sad.
He almost fell out of his chair when he heard a voice right next to him. "I see you like to stare."
Frank turned to face the voice and smiled sheepishly when he saw who it was.
"I guess I can't really help it. My eyes always find themselves looking at beautiful things." Frank said smoothly. The man didn't look at him. He stared straight ahead, but Frank noticed the smile creeping onto his face. He turned his head and looked at him.
"I'm Frank." He said to him.
"I'm Gerard."
