Famous Last Words

*Cosmos POV*
"Have goooooooood day!" Pete called as I walked out the door. Patrick had to go to the store, so Pete was sending me to school.
"You too, Pete." I called back. I was not ready for school. The work is okay to me, but the kids were horrible. Ever since seventh grade, when I stopped trying to make friends, the others have made fun of me. Of course, Patrick doesn't know this. I had reached the front door by now. I took a deep breath and pushed the door in, walking briskly to the front office.
"Cosmos-" The sour old lady cut me off by shoving my schedule in my face. Apparently, I'm the only Cosmos in the school.

"Hey, kiddo, how was school?" Patrick asked as I walked in the front door.
"It was OK!" I called back, heading towards the stairs so I could go hide my black eye. I ran to my room and locked the door. No one knew about my trouble in school. Joe probably thought of it, but he never told the others.
"COSMOS WE'RE HAVING VISITORS FOR DINNER!" Pete yelled up the stairs. I swear, all he does is yell. "AND THERE'S TWO CUTE BOYS IN THE FAMILY!"
"SHUT UP, PETE!" I yelled back as I covered up the black eye with makeup. I hate having visitors over. Despite having relatively nice home, people still criticize it.
"Kiddo, can you help Andy make dinner?" Patrick called from down the hall. I agreed and finished with the makeup. Surprisingly, Andy's a very good cook.
I helped Andy make the spaghetti. The family had already arrived, and Donna, the mom, insisted on helping, but we told her to go enjoy herself. Patrick and Joe were talking to them while Pete set the table. We placed the food there, too.
"FOODS READY!" Pete yelled.
"Pete, you don't have to yell!" I laughed.
All throughout dinner, Pete, Patrick, and Joe talked to Mr and Mrs.Way. The two boys and I stayed quiet. The older-one had shaggy brown hair and pale skin. The younger one wore a gray beanie over dirty blonde hair with glasses.
"So, Cosmos, where do you go to school?" Mr.Way asked.
"Um... just the public one." I said shyly.
"Gerard and Mikey go there." Mrs.Way said. She was a cool mom, not trying to push us all together. I looked to the boys who just sat, eating quietly. I noticed that I had barely touched my food. Oops.
"Well, we have to get going." Mr.Way said. "Hope to see you guys around."
