So, my name is Gerard way and i am a high school senior who's just moved to Belleville and yes you've probably guessed it, i'm gay, it can be hard sometimes because people aren't always nice to you about it. My Mum died about 3 years ago, it's been pretty hard going on me and my little brother Mikey, Dad takes it out on us and he's not always supportive about me being gay, anyway today is our first day at our new school.

I left the house with Mikey trailing behind me and we approached the school.
" Mikey hurry up" i called back to him
" i'm coming " he said and he caught up to me

we entered the building and followed the signs to reception. We kinda shuffled about while waiting for the receptionist who obviously hated her job to notice us
" You must be the Way brothers " she said staring at us
it took us a while to reply because we kept hoping the other one would speak
" ummm yeh " i said awkwardly while Mikey hid away getting less involved as he can
" here are your time tables and lockers numbers with a map, have a good day " she said pulling a cheesy smile
" thanks " i said and took the leaflets pulling Mikey by the arm to our lockers

" these one are ours " i said to him
" thanks Gee " he said back awkwardly
" be careful and stay out of any trouble " i winked at him
" i'll see you later " he said while looking down and pausing for a bit before to my surprise he threw his arms around me hugging me, i held him close to me, he'd always been insecure after mum had died and we've always been close, i always worried about him.

I headed off to my first lesson, History, i slipped into the class hoping the teacher wouldn't notice
" Mr Way, you're late " she called back to me
" Sorry " i mumbled not really looking at the teacher, i sat at the seat at the back next to a short boy

" Hi " he said looking at me
" Hello " i said back awkwardly
" You must be Gerard "
" I guess i am " i laughed to myself
" i'm Frank " he laughed with me
" Nice to meet you " i stared at him, he had beautiful brown eyes
" why are you looking at me like that? "
" oh don't worry " i looked down
" well i hope we can be friends " he said smiling at me


And that was how we met
