This ship may sink!

It was the year 1912, and a young man by the name of Gerard Arthur Way was on the way to a new life. He didn't particularly want this new life, but the sad truth was, that he had very little say in the matter.
Gerard was 18 years old, and came from a rich family. He'd grown up in money, and had become accustomed to luxury, but he was not of the same opinion as others of his class.. he couldn't actually care less about the money, and frankly, he'd really like to just run away and leave it all behind.
At the age of 14 years, his parents had been killed in a house fire, and he had only survived because the family's butler had rescued him.
Now, as it happened, that same butler had actually set the fire, with the express intention of killing Lord and Lady Way, and stealing away with not just a fortune in gold and jewels, but also with their sweet, innocent son. Of course, Gerard didn't know that at the time.
The butler, Robert Bryar, set himself up as Gerard's guardian, and with all the money he'd taken, he went from servant, to Gentleman, though most considered him as "new money", and still looked down their upper-class noses at him.
But his intentions toward the boy, who was 18 entire years his junior, were not those of a parent or guardian. Rather, he wanted to own, control, and defile the youngster.
He was NOT a good man!
The authorities had been sniffing around him lately, so he'd decided that they had to leave London. In fact, they had to leave England all together, and he had purchased two tickets on the White Star Line's maiden voyage across the Atlantic to America, on what was advertised as the biggest, and most luxurious liner ever created.. The Titanic.
The ship was to set out from Southampton on April 10th, and Robert had dragged a timid and reluctant Gerard along with him.
When they arrived, Gerard climbed from their carriage and looked up at the massive ship. Not that he would admit it, but the vessel WAS quite impressive.
Robert was ordering people around, telling them where to put all of their belongings, and Gerard wondered, briefly, if he could just run.. disappear into the crowd and start a new life of his own.. But Robert apparently sensed his intentions, and wrapped hard fingers around Gerard's thin wrist, dragging him toward the gangplank.
Gerard whimpered slightly, but followed without a word.
They were led through beautifully appointed hallways until they reached their rooms. Once inside, and once the ship's staff had delivered all of their things, and left, Robert turned and smacked the back of his hand across Gerard's pale cheek. Gerard stumbled backwards into the wall "That was for even THINKING about running away.." He struck him again, across the other side of his face, then got really close, and dropped his voice REALLY low ".. And THAT, was so you don't forget that you belong to me, and you WILL do as I say!"
Gerard nodded, sheepishly "Yes sir" He whispered, then slid down the wall as Robert stepped back and walked away, muttering curses and insults as he went into the adjoining bathroom, and shut the door.
Gerard sat with his knees to his chest, sobbing softly and trying to get his breathing under control. This was NOT what he'd thought his life would be.

So my lovely new co-writer suggested a Titanic fic, with Frerard, and I was like "HELL YEAH!" Cos I'm not sure that I've seen that done before.. (Correct me if I'm wrong and there are any!) So here we go!
