Gerard unlocks the front door, "Hey sweetie!" He leans in for a hug.
"Hey baby." Bert hugs him back.
"I missed you so much." Gerard kisses his cheek.
"It was only a month." Bert assures.
"Yeah, but I needed you for every second of that." He kisses him.
"You know we need the money." Bert sighs.
"Yeah, yeah," he looks down.
Bert lifts up his chin, making Gerard look at him, "It's okay, I'm here know...And we can do whatever you'd like."
Gerard smiles, "Okay..."

After two full sessions of rough love-making, they lie in bed, holding each other close.
"Gerard?' Bert whispers.
"Yeah?" Gerard says groggy, almost about to fall asleep.
"Will you marry me?"
Gerard opens his eyes, wondering if he heard him correct.
"Gee?" Bert says, worried.
"D-did you just ask me to marry you?" Gerard felt a tear slip out of his eye.
"Y-yes." Bert answered.
"Oh my god..." Gerard paused.
"Is that a yes?" Bert asked.
"Yes! Of course it's a yes!!" Gerard jumped on top of him.
Bert let out a breath, "Oh thank god, I was worried you might say no."
"Why would I say no? You know I love you."
Bert kissed his forehead, "I don't know. It's just scary."
"What? Do I intimidate you?" Gerard chuckled.
"Yeah, sometimes I don't know how you'll react to things."
"Really? I guess I'm just that type of person." Gerard commented.
"Well, you should get some sleep, baby." Bert added.
Gerard nodded, eventually falling asleep in Bert's arms.

Frank walks into Gerard's classroom, seeing Gerard smiling to himself.
"What's got you so happy?" Frank asks.
"Nothing," He pauses, looking up at Frank, "I'm just...ENGAGED!!"
Frank dashes over to Gerard, leaning in for a hug, "Oh my, I'm so happy for you!! Congrats!"
"It was last night. I'm so happy. He'd just got back from a short job out of town. And I guess he just thought it was right time." Gerard explains, unable to wipe a smile of his face.
"That's sounds sweet."
"Of course he didn't have time to get a ring, but I'm sure sometime he will." Gerard assures.
"Yeah, that's really nice. I've only heard about proposals like that in movies." Frank laughs.
"Definitely Hallmark worthy."
"Do you have a date yet?" Frank asks.
"No, I'm assuming we'll talk it about it sometime soon though." Gerard says excited.
He starts to tear up, "I-I'm sorry, I just...You know growing up gay, you never think you'll ever find the man of your dreams," Gerard sniffles, wiping his nose, "But I found mine and I'm so glad he loves me too."
Frank rubs his back, trying to calm him down.
"Oh god, I don't want you to see me cry." Gerard looks away.
"No, it's okay. As long as it's a happy cry I'm glad to see it." Frank chuckles.
Gerard blows his nose in a tissue, "Well now it's my personal duty to find you a guy."
"That's okay." Frank laughs, shaking his head.
"No, no. You deserve love." Gerard gets up from his desk, going to wipe off the white board.
"I'm only 17, I don't need it."
"True, but I want you to be as happy as me," Gerard looks over at Frank, "Think of me as your own personal fairy godmother."
"Okay..." Frank looks away, embarrassed at Gerard's silly idea.
After a minute of silence Gerard speaks up.
"You need help on anything?" He asked, making sure Frank got all his homework done before school officially started.
"Yea, yea...just some english homework." Frank takes it out of his bag.
"Okay..."
They spent the rest of the day going on and off between writing their song and talking about Gerard's wedding.

Notes

Honestly I know that you're not going to be happy about Gerard's engagement, but you have to admit he sounds so cute talking about about how happy he is for the wedding. I love happy Gee, I also like writing about it too.
