(Gerard's pov)


"Alright, Taylor, what are you performing for us today?" The teacher asks, taking a seat in the front row.

"Oh just singing my favorite song..." Taylor grins. She prances on to the small stage, and began with her performance. I don't really pay much attention to it though. To start with it is a crappy pop song everyone knows, and secondly... I AM FUCKING HYPERVENTILATING.

The girl soon finished, and from the fact that only her best friend was clapping, I assume she wasn't all that good.

"Okay..... Frank! What will you be doing for us?" Mrs.Finch asks, looking at Frank with a 'please be better than that girl' smile.

Frank doesn't answer, instead starts playing the intro chords to American Idiot by GreenDay. The whole crowd, including me, are watching with awe. I know Frank is a pro at guitar, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that one out, but the way he owned the fucking stage like he was in fact a rock star performing.

Some kids in the crowd, mostly Mikey, Ray, and Bob, started singing the vocals, knowing the words by heart.

Frank soon finished, grinning as he realized everyone was standing, cheering loudly. He jumps off the stage, and sits calmly back down in his chair, Bob giving him a fist bump.

"Alright, wow, that was wonderful Frank! Now, Sky? watcha doing for us?"

Sky proceeds to explain some random song she will be playing on her Bass, then starts actually playing. My breath, and heart rate, have calmed down at the moment, so I take this chance to listen and watch. The girl isn't all that bad either. She's actually really good. I don't know the song, but whatever.

By the end, the class claps, a few cheers, and Sky returns to her seat. Oh hell no.. fuck,

"Gerard? Come on, don't worry, we won't bite. " hahaha in front of a teacher they won't.

I close my eyes, and slowly calm down, when all of the sudden, "GO GERARD WOOH" Mikey and Frank both stand, cheering me on. You idiots.

I slowly stand, reluctantly, mostly because if I don't, it looked as if both my best friend and brother might hurt themselves from cheering and jumping around.

"So, what shall you be doing in front of us today?" Mrs.Finch ask, crossing her legs.

"SINGING, HES SINGING," Mikey yells, answering for me. I jokingly shake my head at him. Then think of a suitable song.

The perfect song pops into mind, and I grab the mike, and take a deep breath before scanning the small class. My eyes stop at Frank, who's grinning like a moron, and he gives me a nod and a thumbs up.

Taking another deep breath, I close my eyes, not wanting to see the horrified faces of my peers, and begin...

I fade my voice slightly, Then stop.

All I hear, is silence. I slowly open my eyes, and what I see is 20 shocked faces. Umm.
Those shocked faces soon stand, and start screaming, cheering, clapping, jumping, shouting for a encore. Wait what?!?! They liked it?!?

"Wow!! Well, I think we have our winner class, don't you agree?" The teacher stands and joins me on stage. I'm stiff with shock, and confusion. The class roars in agreement, Frank whooping and jumping around.

"Well, Gerard, here is your prize," she hands me a blue piece of paper, 'No Homework pass' typed in bold letters across it. "Now, class is about to end, so you all can leave a little early," she finishes, and I jump off stage, heading towards the group.

"HOLY SHIT YOU CAN FUCKING SING LIKE A PRO!!" Screams Frank. I giggle and look at the floor in embarrassment.
"Told you! Fucking told you all motherfuckers!!" Mikey exclaims excitedly.

"Alright alright, let's just get to class, we can talk about this at the 'party'" I suggest, the three nod, and we all head out to our next classes. Frank also has this class with me, but the rest he does not which upsets me at times.

Frank and I stride pridefully into the Geophysical Science classroom, only to be shaken of our hype by Bert fucking McCracken pulling me out of the classroom, back into the almost empty hallway and into the boys bathroom, locking to door behind us. Oh god I'm soo dead.
