You'll Be My Detonator

I got to school the next day and met with Mikey at his locker. But Mr. Way was nowhere to be found.

"Do you know where Mr. Way is?" I asked Mikey. He nodded and pointed to the classroom. He shoved yet another piece of candy in his mouth. It was pretty gross though. Who eats chocolate in the morning?
"Can I go see him?" I asked. He nodded once again, not being able to speak because of the food in his mouth.

I walked to the classroom, bumping into a few boys on the way there.
I entered and he was sitting at his desk, clearly stressed.
"Mr. Way? Are you okay?" I walked over to his desk and he scooted away from me, not making eye contact.

"Frank. Please go back outside." He said in a low voice.
"Why? Are you okay?" I walked behind the desk and rested a hand on his shoulder. I looked down at him then up at his computer monitor. I saw it was on twitter. And I saw a post that Brendon had made recently. It was a picture, of Mr. Way. The one that he's send me.

I took my hand off of his shoulder and took he monitor in both hands.
"Brendon!" I shouted. Mr. Way sunk lower in his chair and I started pacing back and forth.
"He did this!" I shouted again, tears forming in my eyes.

"Frank..." He said, sitting back up. "He'll get in trouble. Not me. He can't prove anything."
"It's not okay. They still posted a picture of you. Without your permission. And you're just..." I sighed. "It's not okay."

"Okay, you know what? It's not right. But it won't effect you." He stood up. "But I think it might be best if we spend some time apart for a few days in case anyone actually believes his comment. Is that okay with you?" He stared into my eyes, clearly wanting me to say yes.

"Fine." I replied.

"Good." He said. "Now get out of here." He pointed at the door and cupped his face with his other hand. I nodded and walked out, devastated.

I needed to find Brendon, and most likely kick his ass.
