just another killjoy story

He knows things about our past. He knows things about our parents. We don’t even know everything about our past and parents.
‘’well are you gonna tell us or not?’’ little asked angry.
‘’yeah I just don’t really know where to begin.’’ Party said apologetic.
‘’just start from the beginning we want to know everything.’’ I said calm.
Party sat down on the floor in front of us.
‘’Your parents were killjoys and they were really good ones, it is an honour that I had the opportunity to know them and call them my friends.’’
‘’WHAT!? that’s not possible they lived with us in battery city and after that…’’ red said but stopped at the end of her sentence and looked at me with tears in her eyes. I hugged her but kept looking at party in the hope he would continue with his story.
‘’your parents smuggled food and information for us out battery city.’’ Party said.
‘’they wanted to do something for the killjoys but they didn’t want to bring you guys in danger and they wanted you to finish your school, that's why they stayed in Battery city. But after BL/ind started to force everyone to take their pills your parents started to doubt their decision. They were planning to leave battery city with you guys to live in the desert.’’
I heard everything party said but didn’t understand anything of it. How could they have been killjoys, dad had his work and mom was almost always at home. They helped us with school. They didn’t even told us they wanted to leave the city, they only told us not to take the pills. We didn't even know killjoys existed.
‘’A few days before your parents wanted to leave battery city, the scarecrow discovered the fact that you weren’t taking your pills because they scanned everyone at your school. They decided to raid your house and take you with them to keep you in their prisson or worse to brainwash you. When they captured you and your parents they discovered that they were killjoys.Your parents never told them but they found their stuff in the house. That’s why they separated you from your parents, they were killjoys so they were a diffrent kind of ''enemy''.’’
I still couldn’t believe what I was hearing. They were killjoys and that’s why we were separated. I knew my parents were brave but I never would’ve thought this.
‘’Well the part after this is maybe a bit shocking to hear for you.’’ Party said.
How could it be more shocking than this?
‘’Tell us we want to know the truth.’’ Red said still really upset.
‘’Well they separated you so they could use your parents to scare other killjoys. They tortured them and filmed it all so we and all the people of battery city could see it. They used your parents as lab rats and tested new weapons and drugs on them. They treated them as test objects but your parents stayed strong and never told anything about the killjoys. They didn’t even cry once. They used them as example for people who don't obey the rules. They tried to stop all killjoys from being well killjoys, by showing them what would happen to them if they got captured.’’
Party said it all really slowly but I still couldn’t believe it. Our parents went through hell. We weren’t the only ones they tested on. Suddenly I felt that little red started crying even more and breathing really loud. She was having another panic attack and I tried to calm her. I hugged her and kept telling her it was okay. After a while she calmed down a bit wiped her tears away. I understood really good why she started crying. It was horrible to hear and it made me think back to everything they did to us. It were all memories I tried to block out of my head. I didn't wanna think back to that horrible time. Party didn’t know how to react and just sat on the floor awkwardly staring at us. After red calmed down he just went on with his story.
‘’from this point I don’t know exactly what happened. I heard from others that they grabbed a gun from a draculoid when he thought they were fainted and they tried to escape using that. From that point I think you know what happened.’’ Party ended his story and looked at us.
‘’they were amazing people and they loved you more than anything else.’’
I didn’t know what to say, I didn’t know if I had to tell him our side of the story. I decided not to do it because red probably couldn’t handle it.
‘’how did you know that we were their children?’’
‘’well I had my suspicions when I saw you two for the first time. You really a lot look like your mother. When you hit fun in the face I really started to think about it, the only women I ever saw hit fun like that was your mother. We didn´t know if you guys were still alive, we thought you all died while escaping. When I saw red with the gun I knew for sure. Only your dad could handle a gun like that. It was just like he was standing there. Jet thought the same thing and that´s why we went to see dr. D to ask what we should do with you two.´´
´´well what did he say?´´
´´He said we had to protect you because you´re probably in danger.´´
´´why are we in danger? I get that they don´t like the fact we escaped but why would they want us back and not dead?´´ I asked
´´well we hoped you could tell us. We don´t know what happened to you when you were in there.´´
´´yeah, that´s a little bit painful for us so could we talk about that another time.´´
´´of course when you’re ready it was a long day and you have a lot to think about.´´ party said.
´´Tomorrow we want to go back to dr. D and take you with us, but first just sleep because you really need it.´´ Then he hugged us both and after a few minutes left the room.
Red looked at me and started tearing up again. I just hugged her and we sat like that for a long time.
