just another killjoy story

I hadn’t really slept this night because of all the pain in my leg. I hope it would get better because of the stitches but it only got worse. I get that it needs to heal and that that is causing all the pain, but I didn’t expect it to be this painful. I saw the sun was coming up through the window so I stood up to go and watch it, but it was way too painful to stand on my leg so I just sat down on my mattress. The sun rise was beautiful, this was one of the only things BL/ind couldn’t control. It was pure and the same as it has been for millions of years. After a while little red woke up and sat down next to me. I hugged her and kissed her forehead. We sat quietly while watching the sun further rise, because we didn’t want missile kid to wake up. After a while she also woke up and sat next to us.
‘’Are you guys coming with me to eat breakfast?’’
‘’yeah, give us a minute and we get dressed.’’
‘’okay, I’m gonna take a shower so I will get dressed in the bathroom.’’
I wanted to stand up but my leg hurt a lot so I fell back down.
‘’are you okay?’’ said missile kid and little red at the exact same moment.
‘’yes I’m okay I just don’t think I will join you guys for breakfast, I think it’s better that I stay in bed for today.’’
‘’I will ask someone if they can bring you some breakfast.’’
‘’That would be great missile thanks.’’
Missile kid got her clothes and walked out of the room.
‘’Are you sure you’re okay?’’
‘’yes, it’s just healing that’s why it hurts so bad.’’
‘’well if you say so, but I think jet should look at it.’’
Little red stood up and got her clothes and got dressed. Halfway done putting on her jeans, someone came walking in our room.
‘’I got you your breakfast and I came to look at the wound.’’ Then ray looked up from the bottle of water and the can of power pup and Immediately turned his back to us.
‘’Oh my god, I am so sorry… I didn’t know you were… I just… I will put it here on the ground for you… I didn’t see anything I promise.. I am sooo sorry.. like really… I…. I just….’’
‘’It’s okay jet I’m done now, you didn’t know I was getting dressed and we should have closed the door, it’s not your fault.’’ Little red said.
Jet slowly turned around still with his eyes down to the floor.
‘’it’s okay jet I know you didn’t see anything.’’
Jet stayed quiet.
‘’well I will just go and eat breakfast with the others than because I don’t think you’re gonna say much to me now.’’ Said little red while she gave him a friendly laugh. She gave me a hug and walked out of the room.
Jet picked up the water and the power pup again and gave it to me. I started eating and he just stood awkwardly in the room staring at his feet.
‘’Sooooo how is the wound doing, I don’t think you slept that well because the first day and night of stiches are always the worst.’’
‘’yeah, I don’t think I got any sleep this night to be honest.’’
‘’tomorrow it will probably feel a lot better, can I look at it?’’
‘’yes, of course.’’
I started eating my power pup again while jet got off the old bandages.
‘’It’s looking okay, but you really shouldn’t move anymore today because the stitches could break.’’
He put on new bandages and stood up again.
‘’I will tell the others to come here in this room because party wanted to have a meeting and you can’t come to him.’’
‘’that’s cool, but could you close the door behind you when you leave so I can get dressed.’’
He looked shocked at me because he didn’t realise that I was only sitting here in his old t-shirt. He just nodded and closed the door behind him. I got dressed while sitting on my bed and when I was finished I ate the last bit of my power pup.
‘’gamma can we come in?’’ I heard little red asking outside.
‘’yes I’m done.’’
The door went open and everyone walked in, jet still kept his distance from little red.
‘’So, I think we need to make some rules, to make sure the ‘’incident’’ from this morning doesn’t happen again.’’ Said party poison, while jet was blushing and looking at the ground. Fun ghoul saw this and laughed a little.
‘’firstly we all need to remember we have two more people in the building now, so we have to knock before we enter the bathroom or the girls room. Secondly we need to learn you two how to defend yourself.’’
‘’You mean you guys are gonna learn us how to use a gun?’’ little red asked enthusiastic.
‘’Yeah we are, we need to make sure you guys can keep yourselves and each other safe.’’ Party said.
‘’and I believe kobra has something for you two.’’
Kobra put his hands behind his back and got two laser guns out of his pockets. One was bright orange almost kind of red and the other one was a really dark and calm green.
‘’these are perfect, it’s like their made for us.’’ Said red happy.
‘’yeah, I thought so to.’’ Said kobra while he handed us the guns.
‘’so when do the lessons start?’’ red asked party.
‘’well we can start this afternoon with you but your sister will have to wait a while.’’
‘’awesome!’’ red said.
‘’well that was the meeting thing for today you can all go now.’’
Everyone walked out the room except party.
‘’do you wanna watch your sister shoot?’’
‘’that would be great but jet said I can’t move today.’’
‘’I can carry you outside if you want.’’
‘’well, if that isn’t a problem for you, that would be great.’’
‘’I know a great spot, it’s my favourite.’’
Party picked me up and carried me out of the room. He didn’t go outside though he walked further into the hall and I saw some stairs. He walked up the stairs and opened a door. We were now on the roof. The view from here was beautiful and you could see the others outside. Party put me down on a few stones that were piled up in some kind of chair.
‘’this is my favourite spot.’’
‘’I understand why it is, it is beautiful.’’
‘’yeah, I can watch and protect the others from here and at the same time be alone and think a little bit.’’
‘’isn’t it hard to… you know, be kind of responsible for all the others.’’
‘’well it is the thing I have to do they are my family and you protect your family.’’
‘’why did you decided to help us, we’re just extra people you have to look after.’’
‘’you’re rebels, right?’’
‘’well I guess so, we don’t like what BL/ind is doing and we fled from battery city so, yes.’’
‘’well then you are killjoys, and so you are also my family.’’
He looked me in the eyes and smiled at me.
‘’I know It’s hard for you, to take care of your little sister, and you’re probably never gonna trust us like you trust her but you’re one of us just try to remember that.’’
He stood up and walked away. We only know them for one day how can they be so kind to us. Why are they doing this? Do they know what we went through? Did they know us already? Did they know our parents?

Notes

I wrote a lot today and it's probbably full of mistakes because i'm kind of sick. Still not that much action but I have some great happenings in my head for the next chapters ^.^
