Wipe Away Those Tears of Blood

Frank's POV

I wanted to talk to Gee. I needed to tell him how much he means to me, but in a casual manner.

"Cancer stick?" I asked, holding out a pack of ciggies.

"Yup!" Gee grinned, taking a fag and lighting it. Damn, he looks so hot with a cig in his hand. Like smokin'. Okay, bad joke, don't shoot me! We smoked our ciggies in a satisfied silence. We then threw them away and I made a grab for Gee's hand. I lead him to the play area and he smiled a familiar smile. We used to come here every sunny day. When we were in pre school, our moms would take us and let us play as they gossiped, but as we got older, they let us come here by ourselves. One day we came here a little later than usual because we had Film Club that day. We held hands 'cause it was gettin' rather chilly. What we didn't see was a group of jocks drinking in the play area. They started throwing empty lager bottles at us and laughing. We both went home sobbing that day. At least we still had eachother. Walking to the play area, those memories (and happier moments which we treasured) flooded back into our minds. We strolled, hand in hand, to the swings and sat down, the gently breeze swaying the swings ever so slightly. I loved spending time here. I just loved spending time with Gerard in general. He stood up and walked over to me, smiling. He went behind me and started pushing my swing gently. Then he pushed it fiercely a couple of times. I felt as if I was flying, I could let go and I'd be free from all suffering. But there is no suffering when I'm with Gee. I was so engrossed in my thought that I didn't realise Gerard had stopped pushing the swing. I looked up and he was grinnin' down at me.

"Wanna go on the slide?" He giggled. When I nodded he pulled me up and ran with me to the slide. God, I feel like a child, raceing his best friend to a simple piece of equipment that can make your day so much brighter. Well, I guess I am a child. But Gee is most definately not my bestie. No, he's my boyfriend. My amazing boyfriend whom I love with all my heart. We slid down the slide and Gerard laughed his pretty little face off. Everything is perfect. Like a fairytale, we'll have a happily every after. Below the waist. Maybe...
