Gerard's P.O.V I cuddle Helena, smiling down at her. "Hello, honey." I say as she looks up at me, holding my finger in her small, perfect hand. "I'm your Daddy. I'm going to protect you and your Mummy. I'll never let anyone or anything hurt you. I promise. Me and Mummy are going to make a great life for you. You'll never have to worry about anything. Your gonna be treated like the little princess that you are. Then when I marry Mummy, we'll be The Way Family. No one will tear us apart. Because if they try.....well.....I won't use violence. Because that's bad and Daddy doesn't want to ever have to be bad again." I sighed, shakily as I remembered back. "But that doesn't matter anymore." I said, shaking off the bad vibes. It worked. I calmed down. But I was exhausted. I knew something was going to happen. That's why I stayed close to Helena. That's why I didn't like not being with Kat. "I need my family." I said to Bob as I climbed onto mine and Kat's bed. "Don't worry, mate." He said, unlocking the door. "I'll get them." A few minutes later, everyone walked into the room. I smiled as Kat climbed in beside me and handed me Helena. The guy's went to leave. "Don't go." I said, looking up at them as I hugged Kat with my free arm. "We need to talk." Mikey smiled. "Sure. What about?" "Cole." I felt Kat tense up beside me, so I kissed her forehead. "Okay." Ray said as they all found a place to sit. "While he's around, Kat and Helena need protecting." I stated. "So I need you guys more than ever." "You got us." Frank said. "We can follow your Killjoy comics rule." Mikey smiled. "Two on watch at all times. I'll take first watch with Bob. Then Ray and Frank can take over." I smirked. "You've been sneaking a look at my work again?" He blushed. "They're just so amazing." He explained. "I can't help it." I looked down at Helena. Her little eyes were closed and her tiny chest rose as she slept. I knew from the second I first saw her that I would lay my life down for her. Maybe I'll have to. "I won't let anyone take my family away." I stayed. "I would rather die than let anyone hurt Kat and Helena." Kat sat up slightly to look in my eyes. "Don't say that." She pleaded, tears in her eyes. "We can't ever lose you. I love you, Gerard." I smiled. "I love you too, baby."
