Gerard's P.O.V She said yes. She said yes. I felt like screaming it from the rooftops. Kat said yes. Oh my god. She said yes. "Gerard?" Kat said. Snapping me out of my inner ramblings. I pulled her into a hug and start rambling out loud. "You said yes." I muttered, excitedly. "Oh my god. I'm so fucking happy. I love you so much, baby." Kat giggled. "I love you too." I attached my lips to hers. "Woh." Mikey's voice interrupted us. I pulled away, but kept holding her while I smiled at her. "We got something to tell you, Mikey." I said, finally turning my eyes towards him. "Okay. Shoot." My smile widened. I noticed the whole clan had followed him in. Frank, Ray, Bob, Mum, Dad and Gran. "I...err...asked Kat to marry me." I stated. "She said yes." I didn't get the reaction I expected. Everyone just went quiet. I sighed as my smile dropped. "Look." I started. "We've no intention of getting married straight away. We're not stupid. We're gonna wait till we've left school. Set up home. I've got a decent income to look after Kat and the kitten...." "The baby." Kat injected. "...The kitten." I insisted, with a smile. "So I had everything planned out before I asked." Gran smiled. "That's my boy." She said, happily. "Your a credit to this family. Such a bright boy." She walked towards us and pulled us both into a hug. "Congratulations, sweeties." Everybody else finally snapped out of it and congratulated us with a hug. Once everyone had backed up a little, I leaned over to pick Elena up, gently. I cradled her head as I sat next to Kat. Kat rested her head on my shoulder. I smiled at Gran and Mum. "We've named her Elena Donna Way." Their faces lit up. "You've all been so good to me." Kat added. "I wanted to name her after two of the most important people in our life." Mum awwed then hugged her, tears in her eyes. Gran smiled, wide. "That is so sweet, honey." She hugged Kat as Mum moved back a little. I looked at Mikey. "Wanna meet your niece, uncle Mikey?" He grinned and walked forward to take Gran's place. "Want to hold her?" Kat asked. His smile widened. "Can I?" He asked. I laughed. "Of course you can." He took Elena from Kat with great care. Then sat by us on the bed, smiling down her. "Hey, little Elena." He said, quietly. "I'm your Uncle Mikey. I'm the sane brother." "Hey." I laughed. He didn't even take his eye's off Elena. "I'll be there for you when Daddy starts his rants about ghosts and aliens. FYI, they don't exist...." I raised my eyebrows in amusement. "And unicorns do?" "...But unicorns do." He grinned. I shook my head. I watched him with pride as I hugged Kat. Time Lapse>>>>>>>>>> One week later. My bedroom. I was woken to crying. I opened my eyes to see Kat with tears on her face. I sat up and pulled her into my arms. "What's wrong, baby?" I asked as I rubbed her back. "I...I don't really k...know." She admitted. "I'm just tired and feel really d...down." I laid her down, gently. "Listen, honey." I said, stroking her hair. "It's okay. I read about this. It's called anti natal depression. We'll get through it.....together. You get some sleep while I look after Elena. I'll sleep on the couch. I'll set up the Moses basket in there." "That's n...not fair on y...you." She sniffled. I leaned down and kissed her on the lips, briefly. "It's okay, baby." I said. "I really don't mind. I get to spend time with my kitten...." Kat gave a small laugh. "Baby." I grinned. "...Kitten." I repeated. "So I'll have fun." She frowned. "Are you sure you...Want...to do this?" She asked, then bit her lip. I stroked her cheek. "Of course I do, baby. You need the sleep..." "No." She cut me off. "I mean t...take on s....someone else's b...baby." I frowned. "Hey. That kitten...." "Baby." "Kitten is yours and mine." I said. I kissed her forehead. "So don't ever question it." "B...but...." I sighed. "She's ours, baby. Yours and mine. Even if the adoption papers don't go through, she's mine. I love that kitten...." "Baby." "Kitten so much. I love you. You are my life. Me, you and Elena. Our family." She smiled. "I love you too, Gee." She sighed. "Your too good to me. Especially after what I did to you...." I stopped her with a kiss. "Stop that." I ordered. "It's in the past. This is our life. We need to look to the future now." Okay, honey?" She smiled, her eyes drooping. Kat's P.O.V Time Lapse>>>>>>>>>> Next morning. 10:21am. I pulled on my dressing gown and slippers, then headed up to the kitchen. I made a coffee then went on search of Gerard. I found him in the lounge, singing, quietly to Elena. Laid on the couch with her on his chest. "So long to all my friends, Everyone of them met tragic ends. With every passing day, I’d be lying if I didn’t say That I miss them all tonight, And if they only knew what I would say, If I could be with you tonight, I would sing you to sleep, Never let them take the light behind your eyes.
