Romanticize Eternal Damnation

Frank’s P.O.V.

It’s been two days since my date with Gerard and I must confess, they were the longest two days of my life. Not seing him makes me want to jump of a roof. I mean, yeah, we’ve been texting each other and all that shit, but it’s not the same.
I remember how awkward I felt on the date after I realised I fell asleep on him. I can’t deny the fact that it was the best nap I took in my entire existence. It was like I was covered in feathers. When I woke up it wasn’t raining anymore. Our fingers were interlocked and Gerard was singing this cute little song he said he wrote, something like ’so shut your eyes, kiss me goodbye and sleep’. I opened my eyes and became a tomato cos Gerard has been staring at me this whole time and probably realised I’ve been awake for a while now. I tried to get off him, feeling like I could die of embarrassment right there, but Gerard wrapped his hands around my waist and pulled me closer.
Right now I’m sitting upside down on the couch watching TV. I just got off the phone with mom who said she’ll be home in 2 weeks or less and asked if I need any more money. A little more wouldn’t hurt, so she told me she’ll send me another 200 dollars. I don’t know where she gets that money from but I’m not gonna complain.

Tomorrow is Jake’s birthday so I gotta go find him a gift. I wonder if Gerard’s down to come to the mall to help me find Jake a present. Of course I know what Jake wants. Really, it’s just an excuse for me to see Gerard. Can you blame me tho? That boy is gorgeous! His features are so angelic. Is like his skin glows. He’s so pale but like in a good way I don’t even know how to explain.
I snap out of my thoughts when the phone starts ringing. It’s Jake.
”Heya, Jake!”
”Hey, dude! Sup?”
”Nothing much, really. Just watching TV. Kinda boring. How about you?”
”Planning the party. You comin, right?”
”Yeah, I wouldn’t miss this. When does the party start, though?”
”Around 10. Can’t wait to see you, dude! I haven’t seen you in like,what? A whole week! What have you been up to? Still talking to that guy you met in the park?”
I blush remembering the first time I met Gerard. Altough, I’m not sure it was really the first time. Anyways, it surely was the first time I saw him since the incident.
”Y-yeah, you can say that..”
”Aww, little Frankie’s having a crush!”
”Shut up!”
”S okay, Frank, really. You can tell me, we’re best friends.”
Awkward silence.
”Anyways, you don’t need to tell me anything you don’t want to. Just know that if he hurts you I’m gonna kill the motherfucker.”
”Jake!!!!”
He laughs.
”Okay, okay! I gotta go, see you tomorrow, bye!”
”Byeeeee.”

After that, I decide I should call Gerard to ask him to come to the mall with me. It’s getting kind of late already. I dial his number and wait for him to answer. After some time I hear that little noise you hear when someone answers and this croaky sleepy SEXY voice starts talking.
”Frankie?” Gerard says.
”Hey, sup? Did I wake you up?”
”Mmm, well yeah, but that’s not important. How are you?”
”I’m fine. May I ask why are you sleeping at this time of the day?” I look at the clock and it was 5:36 PM. ”Have you a had a busy night?” I asked hoping I’m not pushing any boundaries and praying to the God I don’t belive in that he hadn’t had a ’busy night’.
”What? No!!” He seems offended now.
”Oh, well it wouldn’t be any of my business if you had, though, would it?”
I stop talking and give myself a facepalm for how stupid I am and then continue.
”You don’t need to answer that, sorry, I’m being stupid. I wanted to ask yo...”
”Frankie, I hadn’t had a busy night. And it would be your business.” He cuts me, but in a sweet kind of way.
”Sorry for interrupting. What were you gonna ask?”
”I, uh, I just wanted to know if... uh... if you would like to come to the mall with me... like... uh..”
I can hear him trying to hide his laughs. It makes my situation only worse, but I understand him. I’m stuttering like hell. I grow some balls and finish my question. ”Would you like to come to the mall with me to find my friend Jake a present cos tomorrow it’s his birthday and I didn’t get him anything yet.” I say in a breath, so fast that I think Gerard needed a moment to understand what I just said.
After a moment he answers.
”Yeah, I would love to. Come to pick you up in an hour?”
I smile and blush. My heart is beating so fast for the simple fact that he accepted to come to the mall with me. This guy is gonna be the biggest crush of my life, I swear.
”That would be great, thank you.” I say, my voice trading the fact that I’m smiling ear to ear.
”See you then.”
