Hold Me Tight

Dinah woke up to a blinding white light. am I dead? She asked herself, but she knew she wasn't because shes sure if she was dead the ache in her heart would've subsided.

"Dinah?!" She heard Gerard call.

"Gee." Dinah mumbled weakly.

"I'll go get a nurse." He said standing up.

"Could you get me drink of water cause my lips are chapped and faded."

"Of course."

He came back with just some water.

"Wheres the nurse?" Dinah asked sitting up slowly to drink the water.

"She'll be here in a minute." He explained, brushing her hair behind my ears. "Are you okay?" He asked.

"Yeah, baby I'm sure I was just soggy from the chemo." Dinah said attempting and failing to assure him. "You know Gerard. I think I want this to stop."

"What?" He asked as all the hope drained out of him at every word she spoke.

"I want to die." At his silence she added. "It just isn't living."

After a long pause he pursed his lips together and put his head in his hands. Then brought his tear filled eyes level with hers and mumbled. "I understand." Dinah took his hand in hers and held on tightly.

"The hardest part of all of this will he losing you. And I just want you to know that because I love you." They sat there together just soaking up the silence when the nurse walked in.

"Dinah, Gerard." She greeted closing the door behind her. She held something in her hand; It looked like a photograph.

"Whats that?" Gerard asked as he had noticed the document.

"It's an ultra-sound." She began sitting down on one of the hospital chairs.

"Why would you have one of those?" Dinah asked her breath hitching.

"Because Dinah, You're pregnant."

Sorry I haven't updated for a while its because I'm on holiday in Spain and I only just got internet, I'll be updating this story every Thursday and Monday for now on :DD
