Hold Me Tight

"What." Gerard whispered, his lips struggling to form the words.

"I have cancer Gerard." She stated tears pouring over her cheeks.

"No..no you don't there must be a mistake." He insisted speaking in fast raspy breaths and taking a seat.

"Theres no mistake, I've had so many tests. Thats where I've been all these days." She mumbled climbing onto Gerard's lap and burying her face in his chest.

"I fucking hate Cancer." Gerard spat bitterly. "The world is fucking ugly." He continued looking Dinah in the eye. "But you're beautiful to me."

Dinah smiled sadly at him but she couldn't stop the tears. "You're going to be okay you know." He coaxed rubbing her back.

"I don't know If I will." Dinah whimpered, rubbing her eyes.

"You're going to be okay, so dry your eyes and start believing."

She nodded and kissed his lips softly.

"You're going to be okay."
