Hold Me Tight
Like I did Yesterday
Gerard tapped his hand on his steering wheel as he drove. His hazel eyes fixed on the road ahead. His day at Art school went well; He couldn't wait to tell Malia what had happened.
As he pulled up to his quaint house something wasn't right. The door was open as if someone had entered without the care to close it. He stepped in cautiously and called out for Malia.
He heard a gasp and shuffling. The anxiety bubbled up inside of him as he walked towards the noise.
He stopped short when he got to their shared bedroom. Malia was indeed in there. But there were four eyes staring back at him and one pair belonged to a young man sprawled across the bed his blond hair askew.
Gerard's heart sunk to his stomach and he ran.
Malia called out desperately trying to stop Gerard from leaving.
She called out things like "Gee! Gee don't go I love you! This was a mistake."
Gerard laughed bitterly to himself. This is what she called love?
He swallowed his tears and carried on he needed to leave. But before he left he fumbled for a bit of paper and a pen and scrawled harshly on them, it read:
You don't even have the guts to say, I don't love you like I loved you yesterday.
