The teacher (Mr Brent) waved him towards the back of the art classroom. The person next to him's phone buzzed s/he (because he couldnt tell and hated to assume) was singing under their breath and ignored it.
The phone buzzed again.
Gerard tried to name the song. He'd heard it before somewhere.
'Demons, by imagine dragons. You might have heard it somewhere'
'uh thanks?'
He sat down next to the person who had a femine voice (though having met the inseperable kellinandvic on his way here that didnt mean a lot) and flipped open the sketchpad with vampires in it and started a new one with a gothic castle. The person went back to humming and sketching.

'hey thats cool'
That was a vampire ripping out someones throat.
'I cant really draw vampires.'
All he heard was his ma, reminding him to 'just talk to people Gee, its not so hard'
'a lot of people find it creepy?' he explained, with a question mark.
'like I can talk' their sketch involved hornets crawling out of someones eye.
'I guess not'

The phone buzzed,and this time the person checked the texts and sent one, muttering 'sorry, Patrick'
'Whos Patrick?' Dont ask questions Gee. Its stupid and most likely rude.
'oh Paticks the Wentzkeeper. And Pete has apparently fallen in love, so he'll be busy soon. One hundered percent of previous relationships involving Pete Wentz left the aforementioned mopey and heartbroken, hence the need for a reliable Patrick. Oh and my names Kay, Im gender-indifferent if thats a thing, I use female pronouns mostly because thats what I grew up with but I wont correct you either way. I'm also the first recorded vampire to catch lycanthropy.Hi.'
'Hi I'm Gerard' which isnt much of an introdution but if he was right, K would do most of the talking for him.

He went back to sketching and K seemed content to end the conversation there.
