How Ever You Spin It...

Blow Out Your Darkest Candles...

Frank's POV:

The wind was howling outside, as it had almost all of my birthdays before, and I just looked up at my mother as I was about to blow out the candle on my birthday cake. It was black and white, covered in some of the most intricate birthday designs I think I've ever had on a cake, with about as much detail as mother would dare to invest and put onto it. I had to wait until RIGHT before we were going to cut it, to blow out the candle. It came up, right from the center, and just stood there.

"Make a wish, Frankie" mom said, grabbing my shoulders lightly.
I cleared my thoughts, closed my eyes, took a deep breath, made a wish, and then my eyes flew open as I blew out the candle.
Before it went out, I noticed a little something about it. Right when I started to blow out the candle, time seemed to slow. I looked at the flame and, unless my eyes were deceiving me, I saw it look back. It smiled, baring a very interesting grin, and then closed its eyes as it peacefully went out.

We cut the cake, after I snapped back to the party.
"Which part do you want, Frankie?" mom asked, holding the knife to the cake.
"Oh...uhm...I guess the crow." I said, looking offhandishly at the crow design on the cake. It was perched on a tree, of which was set to be on the outer facing sides instead of the top with the crow, and had that age old 'ominous' look to it. Of course, I've never been much of one to pay much mind to the details on my cakes. Why would I?

Walking around, outside, I was soon joined again by my thoughts.
Mom had gotten rather fucking pissed off at me, back at the house, because I had suddenly turned from totally caring about the party to complete apathy.
She worked really hard to get some of our family out, for my 18th birthday, because she knew that the odds of me spending much more of my birthdays would be very few and far in between. It was only to be expected, of course.
Looking around, I just kept looking around at the others that were about.
Did I mention that it was Halloween? Yes, I'm a Halloween baby. Just how it is, so don't fucking start to bitch about me being a devil child or some bullshit like that. I'm a demon...not a devil child.
*smirk*

"Well, well, well...if it isn't little Frankie." I heard someone say, walking up behind me.
"Well, well, well...if it isn't some stupid asshole that I don't give a flying fuck about." I said back, rolling my eyes as I kept walking.
"HEY!" the person said, grabbing me by my Skeleton Costume and turning me around. "YOU BETTER FUCKING WATCH IT, IERO!"
"I'm serious. I really don't give a fuck, right now, Jesse." I said, rolling my eyes right at him.
"That's it!!!" Jesse said, right before pulling his fist back to strike.

(little side info on me and Jesse)

Jesse and I had never gotten along.
We never talked.
Never had ANY friends in common.
Never had really anything at ALL in common.
Yet we seemed to have issues with each other.
I've known him since about the second or third grade, because I accidently dated his brother...
Yes, I like guys. Have a problem with it? Fuck you. Actually, I take that back. I don't want you taking that as an offer...

Right as Jesse delivered a weak blow of his fist to my face, I heard someone shriek.
"JESSE! What the fuck are you doing?!" the guy screamed, running over and at Jesse.
People never really ever paid much attention to Jesse, when he picked on me, so it was actually kind of surprising.
"Stay out of this, Way!" Jesse shouted, pushing the guy away.
"Damn it, Jesse! Why do you have to be such a fucking asshole?!" the guy asked, pulling me from him and sitting me down.
"Mikes, I'm warning you...get out of here..." Jesse said, with that dark and eary voice that you always here in the fucking horror movies right before someone goes REALLY dark and murders someone that you thought they really cared about.
"I'm not moving, Jesse." the guy said, standing his ground.
"Mikey...I'll see you at home. Make sure HE'S not still with you when you get there." Jesse said, glaring at me, and then walking away.
Wait...Mikes? Mikey? Way? It couldn't be...

"Sorry about him; he's an asshole. Are you alright?" Mikey said, looking over my busted lip.
"It's okay, really..." I said, getting up and trying to smile. The split in my lower lip made it difficult, though.
"You don't remember me, do you?" Mikey asked, still sitting on the ground.
I smiled, knealed down, and placed my right hand along Mikey's face.
"Of course, I do. How could I forget?" I said, right before kissing him.

I'd wished...for my old love to be mine again. Jesse had told his parents about me and Mikey dating, which REALLY pissed them off.
Their eldest brother, Gerard, didn't care though. He was a really cool cat, if you ask me. Always easy to talk to, but not always so into it that he has much to say in response.
Gerard had told me way back when, after me and Mikey broke up, that I'd have him back one day. I thought it was just him trying to be nice..............
