Keep Your Distance.
Chapter Three
Gerard goes to bed very early. He always needs his extra sleep because of the bad grumpy vibes he gets from his night dose of drugs. I don't know specifically what drugs he takes, but it had to be something to fuck him up in the morning, but not the whole day. I had his glass of water in my hand as I headed up the stairs. It was filled halfway, and yet I was still focusing on not to spill it.
When I finally reached Gerard's door, I knocked before entering. The room was dark--well, almost dark. The long heightened window was open, letting the moon's glow enter the room. I walked in further, "I brought your water, Master." I set down the glass on the coffee table beside his bed. I looked out the window again, to notice Gerard standing outside on the large balcony.
I called for him, "Master?"
Gerard said aloud so I could hear, "Did you bring my water?" I assumed he didn't hear me before. I nodded, "Yes."
Gerard turned his body to face me and walked toward me. He passed me to his coffee table, but he did not grab his water. He instead sat on the edge of his king sized bed. He glanced up at me as he opened the single drawer from his coffee table.
And then I saw it.
There were 04 small plastic bags containing red pills. If I had to guess, there were 20 in each bag. I tried not to stare as he grabbed three, but I was too noticeable. Gerard said, "I trust that you won't say anything...even if most already know about my addiction."
"I...I won't, Master."
"Good. This is one of the reasons why I only want you to bring my water--I usually get it myself but it's been a hassle...you will be doing it from now on." He stuffed his mouth with the 03 pills before using the water as a push for the pills to go further down into his throat. Gerard then yanked his shirt off, "Take this to the washroom." He tossed his shirt to me, "Goodnight, Iero."
But I did not leave.
Gerard stared at me, "What?"
I don't know why I asked it. But it seemed to come out of my mouth out of fear and instinct. "Are you okay?"
Gerard looked at me, and his muscles relaxed. It seemed as if he was stuck, as if he didn't know what to say. Gerard looked away, "The pills will help me." And before I could reply, he raised a hand up to me, "I don't want to be lectured, Iero. I know it's bad. Your father has told me too many times...but I never listen."
I frowned, "I'm not here to lecture you, Gerard...I'm here to tell you just to be careful on your doses." It hadn't occurred to me that I said Gerard--but it didn't seem like he cared. Gerard brushed his hand through his messy hair, "Alright...well, I'll take your advice to consideration." Gerard glanced at me, "Come closer."
I froze, "Huh?"
Gerard replied shortly after, "Nothing. That'll be all, Iero." He quickly turned over onto his bed, wrapping his sheets around his body.
I couldn't do anything else but leave. I just couldn't help but thinking over and over again, "Come closer." The way he spoke those words gave me chills down my spine, making me weak in the knees...and I liked it.
Yeah, what's the problem? Haha
