Roomates

"Gerard?" Mrs.Crowen, the dorm advisor, asked, knocking on the art major's door.
"Yes, Mrs.Crowen?"
"I'd like to see you in my office."
"Is this about my new roommate?"
"Yes, it is."
"Okay." Gerard was not looking forward to having a roommate. He hadn't had one in his freshman year, and it was 2 weeks into his sophomore year, and he had desperately hoped he wouldn't. He had never fit in in high school, what with his music taste and comic obsession. But who knows? The kid's file said he was from Belleville, New Jersey, so not far from where I grew up. He had listed some of his favorite bands as Misfits, Smashing Pumpkins, Iron Maiden, so he seemed pretty cool. I just hoped he wouldn't judge me on anything. As we got to the admissions office, I saw someone with longer black hair, maybe my length if not a little longer. He turned around and I was just... Wow. He was... gorgeous.
"Hi, I'm Frank."
