Sugar, You'll Be Okay (Frerard)
The Chemicals Will Bring You Home Again
"B-baby?" We're the first words that Frank spoke. His voice was hoarse and dry from disuse, he was shocked Gerard heard him.
"Frankie..?" Gerard whispered, blinking as he rubbed his eyes. "Frankie!" He cried when the hazel eyes stayed stating into his. Soon, Gerard was wrapping his arms around the small boy, trying not to crush him. Frank felt the tears dripping onto his face, well, the ones that mingled with his own. He attempted to wrap his arms around his teacher, but ended up hissing in pain.
"Ooh, Frankie, I'm so sorry." Gerard pulled away and that made the younger's heart ache. He didn't want Gerard to leave him, especially now.
"W-wa-ter?" Frank croaked, his throat hurting him so much. Gerard nodded, producing some from the bag Mikey brought him. It contained food, clothes, water, babywipes - none of which Gerard used all weekend. He sat in this plastic chair ever since school let out on Friday, only moving to go to the bathroom. Mikey packed him the little bag so he wouldn't starve, but Gerard used nothing from it, only now, Sunday afternoon, grateful he had it.
Frank gulped down the water gratefully, drinking all of its contents on seconds. "Fuck, I feel like I've been hit by a bus." Frank groaned, offering a small smile to Gerard.
"No..just tried to kill yourself." Gerard nodded, frowning deeply.
"I- No. I didn't." Frank's voice shook, new tears prickling behind his eyes.
"Why?" Gerard asked, running a hand through his hair. "I mean, I didn't - I don't think - is this my fault?" Gerard whispered, taking a step back.
"Nononono, Gee! I need you." Frank promised, taking a few deep breaths, feeling himself bordering on a panic attack.
"Then..why?" Gerard's heart was doing flip flops, he needed an answer, knowing this was killing Frank as much as it was him.
"I don't - I don't remember - what-?"
"You kissed me. Briefly, in the classroom. Remember, because I asked? If that's why, I'll back off I just need -" Gerard put on his teacher voice, forcing it to stop shaking as he stop up straighter.
"Oh, Gee, no." Frank sobbed, his heart clenching. "None of this is your fault - I promise. I just - I don't k-know. Gerard, I love you s-so much. And you're my teacher and you've never even - Gee, I don't want to hurt you. Please, I just -" In seconds Gerard was by Frank's side again, cutting him off swiftly with his mouth.
When Frank was asleep, Gerard promised himself that his first kiss would be with Frank. His first consensual one, that is. So, as Mikey put it, he resembled a teenage girl, reading magazines to see if he likes you, how to kiss, how much was too much and he even practiced. He watched videos, filling his head with how to make his first kiss not sloppy but cute and romantic.
However, this kiss was not like that at all. It was full of raw emotion, the taste of each other's tears going back and forth. It was a promise, a promise that showed love and faith. The way their mouths molded together was a dance that only the two of then knew. It was a dance full of passion and understanding and it made Gerard feel like he didn't need air.
"M-Mr. Way?" The voice came behind them, knocking Gerard to the floor as he scurried away from Frank, panting, his pupils blown. His heart was pounding in his chest and he feared the worst, his mind racing with what would be done to him.
