What You See Is What You Get

Gerard’s P.O.V


It was the end of the day and about ten minutes before the last bell rings; I sighed as I looked to Frank who sat across the room. Ray sat next to me but he was all the way on the other side; I have to say I am extremely confused on what happened with Frank’s sudden mood change; in the middle of lunch and on the before he was the friendliest guy on the planet...I mean he’s still friendly but every time he looks at me he quickly looks away, not in a shy way but in a trying to ignore me way. Gosh he is so cute and nice; I want him to talk to me. I don’t know if I did it or just what happened....


“I know you’re staring at Frank” Rays voice says next to me making me jump


“I- umm, I j-just” I stutter like an idiot feeling my face heat up


“it’s cool dude...do you have a crush on him?” He questions and I stay silent for a moment before nodding


“I guess, I don’t know him enough yet...but it looks like he doesn’t want to talk to me anymore anyway” I mutter


“Frank gets like that, don’t worry about it tomorrow he’ll be happy and cheerful again, I promise”
he says lightly hitting me on my back; I give a smile and nod again, I guess Ray would know better then anyone about Frank. Sooner than later the bell rings and I pack up my stuff and head to the parking lot where I see Mikey by the car talking to some...girl! I sneak around so they don’t see me and eavesdrop


“So here’s my number if you want to call or text me” the girl says, holy crap Mikey is getting a girls number...That reminds me I don’t have Frank, Ray, or Bob’s numbers, I need to get them.


“Okay thanks, I’ll do that” Mikey responded, at least he doesn’t stutter all the time like I do


“Great, my bus is coming soon, so see you Mikey”


“See you Kristin” He ends and I hear her walk away, I wait a minute before popping up


“YOU GOT A GIRLS NUMBER” I cheer and he screeched from being scared


“Gerard you fucker” he pants his hand on his chest


“So who was that?” I wiggle my eyebrows


“She’s just a friend” he grumbles and opens the car door I unlocked; I give a mocking hum and sit in the drivers seat.


“Did you make any friends?” he asked as I started the car


“Yeah a couple, they’re cool” I say, my mind goes to Frank; the cute friend with a lip ring and tattoos, whose smile was perfect and whose eyes were the most gorgeous thing in the world


“It’s a boy isn’t it?” Mikey questions looking at me


“No” I answer quickly
“I can see it in your face, it’s boy...Come on tell me, you know you can tell me anything” he pleads as I drive out the parking lot


“Yes okay...His name is Frank and he’s pretty cute....Still getting to know him, just a simple crush” I explain and he nods


“What about Kristin, so you like her?” I wonder since I told him about my crush


“Ya, she’s pretty and is in some of my classes; I sat next to her and we started talking and all that” he ends shrugging his shoulders and I smile


“Looks like our first day of school is going swell” We both chuckle and soon enough we arrive outside the house and get out; walking into the house I see our mother watching T.V


“Hey boys how was school?” She asked


“Good” we both said at the same time and then chuckled
“Okay then, any homework”


“Just some review packets for now” I say and Mikey nods, he most likely got the same thing


“Okay go ahead and do those; dinner won’t be ready for awhile” We both nod and I head to my room and sit on the desk...Today was actually the best day yet, hopefully it will get even more better.
