Running Forever

*Crash Fire's POV*

Dracs. They were swarming the house. I froze in place. There was about 60 trying to get in.

"Crash whats wro- OH." Kobra noticed what I was staring at. I moved over to the side of the rode and ducked behind some dead bushes. I pull out my gun and think. How many dracs could I take out without them spotting us? I aim my gun at one of the stragglers that seemed to be keeping lookout for, well, us. He drops to the side and none of the others notice. Kobra notices what I'm doing and does the same. I start on the outer edge with the ones who are farthest away from the commotion. I've run out of stragglers to pick off and I start firing straight at the group. I manage to pick off five and Kobra gets three of them before one notices and alerts the others. Half of them split away and start heading towards us. Kobra grabbed the radio from my belt and called out for help. "Immediate assistance needed at hide out Beta. About 45 dracs left." I stood up and started firing faster than I thought possible. I look towards the house and I see a flash of Party's red hair move past the window. If he's ok, the others are ok. Including the kids. Kobra and I are able to drop around 18 of them by the time back up gets here. I see three people get out of the van and one climb out of the hatch on top. I can't quite see who got out but I can tell its Hyper Skeleton on the roof. They all start firing and together we're able to take down the rest. The last draculoid drops to its knees and I don't hesitate to start running.

"Someone get Kobra, I gotta check on the guys!" I yell and start sprinting towards the hide out. I have faith in Party. I just... I don't know right now. I get to the front door and fling it open. Jet is sitting on the ground with the kids.. Cherry is shaking and crying softly into his shirt. Pup looks the same as she has sense we found her in the building, close to death. I kneel down next to them. "Cherry? Are you ok?" She looks up at me and jumps into my arms.

"I-I t-thought they g-got you." All I hear is muffled sobs.

"They didn't Cherry, I'm right here. Ok? I'm not going any where." I see Party, Ghoul, Kobra, Hyper, and the three others who I can tell now is Whiskey Fox, Acid Rocket, and Silver Heart. They're all tearing up. I shoot Poison a look and he drops his gaze to his feet. Jet gets up off the ground with Pup still in his arms. He carries her off to the room where we we keep all the medical supplies. Cherry lets go of me and looks into my eyes.

"Is Pup gonna be ok?" She asks.

"We're going to try our best." I manage to say.

"Please do." She hugs onto me one more time. I pick her up and carry her to my bed. I lay her down and pull the blanket over her. "Where are you gonna sleep?" She asks, her eyes closed and clearly heavy. I kiss her forehead and say goodnight. I walk out to the couch and very ungracefully flop down.

"Well today could have gone better." I say out loud. I know that every one except Jet is there and could hear me. I close my eyes and drift off to sleep. Until I hear a ray gun being fired off.

Notes

Ok so I've decided that I'm going to update every night except Sundays because I usually don't get home until its really late. On another note, I get distracted so easily, like while writing this I have looked at jewelry on the hot topic website, danced around to at least 3 songs, looked up random things on Google twice, and at one point I was just lying down doing nothing. But hey! It's finished isn't it? Thank you guys so much for the awesome comments. I didn't expect positive feed back and it's been great.
