Lyrical Events.
The Sharpest Lives
I had woken up and It was raining again, pouring to be honest. The rain hadn't stopped, it's been at least five hours and the whole time I just laid on the couch, fully clothed, staring up at the ceiling as the events from last night played through my mind again.
________
I was alone, but this time I had found myself in a club and like usual I sat by myself at the bar, fingers curled around a bottle of beer. I knew I shouldn't be here, it's not safe for me to be out right now unless I wanted to get caught.
I sighed before taking a swig of beer, the liquid quickly dulling my senses. My eyes scanned the room looking at all the people who crowded together dancing, their bodies pressed against one another as they swayed to the music. I wrinkled my nose in disgust at one pair of people who were grinding on each other like their lives depended on it.
"Disgusting..." I mumbled and took another sip from my beer
"Hey there Hun!" a slurred feminine voice called from beside me. My hazel flickered over towards the voice, next to me was a very drunk blonde woman with way too much caked on make-up and a very short, revealing dress. She plopped down ungracefully on the seat next to me and ran one hand through my black hair, I cringed away from the touch and glared at her.
"Don't touch me so casually." I grumbled, taking another big gulp of my beer. She giggled and leaned in close to my face, the smell of cheap perfume and alcohol emitted from her. I rolled my eyes and looked away from the woman.
"Why don't you come with me and have a little fun?" she breathed. I looked back at her for a split second, the image of her blonde hair stained red with blood flashed through my head. A smirk plastered on my face. "I have a better idea... meet me out back in five minutes." I brushed my fingers over the woman's cheek and stood up, tossing a ten dollar bill on the counter before walking towards the exit.
I wasn't planning on doing this tonight but I got that feeling again, not the feeling of a beast in repose anymore, more like a crazed animal. A dark chuckle fell from my lips, slowly growing into hysterical laughter. My hands shook from excitement as they slid into my hair, the dark strands knotting around my fingers. I couldn't contain it anymore, I quickly ran towards the back of the building and pulled the small vile from my back pocket and brought it up to my lips, uncapping it with my teeth, hesitating slightly as I listened to the muffled music coming from the building. My smile grew before I tipped the vile back and let the warm liquid slip down my throat, this substance allowed my body to take multiple blows without feeling it, this helped when certain people fought back. I had a small coughing fit as the 'poison' started working.
The back door of the club slowly creaked open and out stumbled the blonde bimbo, I straightened and stood with my hands behind my back, my fingers brushed against the handle of the knife tucked in the waistband of my jean's.
"Thereyouare sugar!" She called out, her words slurring together. She blew a kiss and strutted over to me. I fought back the urge to gag when she wrapped her arms around my neck and leaned against my chest.
"So what did you want to do?" she purred. I chuckled and slipped the knife out from behind my back and pressed the tip against her spine, I felt her body tense as the point dug into her skin. The smile on my face turned into one of a sadist as I plunged the knife into her back, she made a gurgling noise as blood dripped from her mouth and she clawed at my neck as I twisted the blade inside her skin.
I leaned in close to her ear and whispered, "Why don't you blow me a kiss before you go?" Then pulled back to stare into her eyes with a smirk plastered on my face, I watched as the life left them and her body went limp.
I yanked the dagger from her back and dropped it along with her lifeless body before falling to my knee's, I pulled my lighter from my pocket and flicked it on to clearly see the scene in front of me.
Blood pooled around her body, and I couldn't resist dipping my hands in the dark liquid. I brought my right hand up to my lips and hesitantly stuck my tongue out, letting the crimson color stain the tip of it before slipping my tongue back into my mouth. Some would say this is something a vampire would do, but that isn't true. It's something a person who isn't afraid of trying something new would do, I have always wondered what blood tasted like. It wasn't that great honestly. I picked up my bloody dagger and dipped the tip into the blood and held it as if it were a pencil, my tongue stuck out slightly as I thought about what to write this time.
After a second a little phrase popped into my head.
'Give Me A Shot To Remember.'
I carefully scrawled the word's in blood on the concrete before pushing myself up so I stood over the woman's body, and just like in my little vision I saw when I first met the woman her hair had red streaking through it. My job was done, I had fulfilled my purpose for the night so quietly I walked back towards my apartment. Rain started to fall from the black sky, I smiled slightly and let the cold water wash away some of the blood from my body.
I made it home before the sun had risen and immediately went to the bathroom, I stripped off my blood stained clothes and turned on the shower letting the hot water run for a second before hopping in. The water burned my pale skin but not a painful burn, more like a relaxing burn as it soothed my sore muscles, I scrubbed away the dried blood from my skin quickly before turning off the water and getting out. The mirror had fogged up, I wiped it clean and stared at my reflection, my hazel eyes looked tired and my pale skin was flushed from the heat. I ran my fingers through my bangs as they fell in front of my face, I turned my head to the side to see five long gashed on the side of my neck, apparently that woman was able to do some damage.
I grabbed the bottle of peroxide along with some gauze from the little shelf that hung next to the mirror. Carefully I applied some peroxide, wincing as the liquid burned my skin as it cleaned the wounds, I gently wrapped my neck and placed the supplies back where they belonged before picking up my dirty clothes and heading towards the washer. I tossed the article's of clothing into the machine and poured in a shit ton of cleaner to get the stains out, I closed the lid and started it up. Still in only a towel I went to my room and pulled on a pair of boxers along with a t-shirt and jean's.
A sigh slipped past my lips as I walked into the living room and flopped down on the couch and stared up at the ceiling, my eyes fluttered closed as exhaustion finally took over my body and I passed out.
____________
A smile played on my lips as the memory passed, I chuckled and sat up looking over at the clock, 11:30. I yawned and stood up, stretching my arms above my head before walking into the kitchen. My steps faltered when a knock sounded at my door, I looked at my door in confusion. Who would be visiting me at this hour?
My bare feet padded across the floor towards the door, I quickly unlocked the dead-bolt and pulled it open. My eyes widened when the person turned to face me.
"Mikey... I thought you abandoned me like the rest of the sane."
He smiled and shook his head. "No Gee, I just couldn't find you."
I quickly pulled him in for a hug which he returned before dragging him into my apartment.
We had a lot to catch up on...
Notes
Okay so this is my first time trying to make up something just based on a song, I like this one actually. The sharpest lives has like the coolest lyrics for making a murder story out of!
Hope you liked it!
