Gerard's P.O.V


Frankie didn't take his eyes off Mikey. I can see loss in his eyes, remorse. I bit my lower lip, leaning into Frankie's ear and whispered, "You don't need him in your life...you have me." I can see Frankie's body stiffen. He turned to me, "Why are you doing this?"

I froze, "What do you mean?"

He seemed to have ignored my question, "You have such a big ego, Gee. Don't know you that Mikey has been my life-long friend?"

I tried to keep my voice calm, "Can't you see how much I love you? I'm trying to protect us both from him. He could rat us out-Toro can chew him down, getting any shit out of him."

"You don't get it, do you?" Frankie took a step forward, "I'm not letting us get in the way of Mikey's and I friendship."

I tightened my jaw. This was fucking senseless. Why would he choose this fucking weak moron over my devotion of love for him? I pushed Frankie, "You love him!"

Frankie's hands pressed against my chest suddenly, causing me to stumble. He shouted back, "This has nothing to do with love." Frankie panted heavily, "Gee, please don't do this again. We just made up. You have to make a change right now-trust me." Frankie's hazel eyes stared into mine. I could see a glimmer in his eye, igniting a tear. He added, his voice as soft as ever, "Don't hurt him."

A change. What did he mean? I trusted him-I did. But this was a different. I couldn't risk Mikey putting us in prison-death row. I wouldn't have cared if he rat me out, but not before I kill Toro. I tried to speak, but it all came out into a sigh. I finally replied, "Frankie...I-I'm sorry. I can't."

Frankie seemed disappointed, "Gerard, leave." Frankie's tears streamed down, "Just...leave."

I looked over Frankie's shoulder to Mikey who cradled onto the couch. I said, "Frankie, when I kill him, you'll understand...everything will be okay." I tried kissing him, but he moved away closer to Mikey. I looked at the two. I added, looking at Frankie, "I love you...I miss you so far." I couldn't help but to blow a kiss goodbye...goodbye for now.
