Love Is A Four Letter Colour
Just Him, A Canvas And Some Paint.
Gerard was always locked up into his apartment, he didn't like going outside, he couldn't see the true colours, he had monochromacy, people with monochromatic vision can see no colour at all and their world consists of different shades of grey ranging from black to white, rather like only seeing the world on an old black and white television set.
He didn't know the true colours of his apartment and the only paint colours he used were grey, white, black and all of those in between. Whenever he painted in other colours he'd guess what the colour of most things were, he wouldn't know what the colour of his walls were. All he saw was grey, a dark grey. He guessed they were red or orange...maybe a dark blue. He wouldn't know.
He had no contact with anyone, he didn't have anyone to love, to care for, to look out for, it was just him, a canvas and some paint.
He was scared of being judged by other people because he didn't know what pink, blue, red or orange looked like. He wanted to know though, it made him rather depressed.
He needed someone with him. He needed to feel someone, love someone, make someone happy for the rest of his life but how will he find love if he won't even go outside to have a walk. Although he's running out of paint and has to run to the stores, when he can't be bothered to make breakfast he goes to his local coffee shop, his favourite.
He always hoped to find a fan in that coffee shop but he never did. He never bumped into one, he guessed no body lives in Jersey. He guessed most things...
