“He’s going to be okay, “ a pretty blonde nurse told Frank outside of Gerard’s room. “He lost a lot of blood. You should have come earlier. He’s going to have to stay for a few days. You can stay with him if you would like.”

“Gee, you’re gonna have to stay here for a few days. Do you want me to stay with you? She said I could.” Gerard scooched over on his bed, making a small sliver of space next to him. Frank climbed in. He grabbed the weak pale hand and kissed it. He wrapped his arms around his boyfriend at stayed there.

“Stay with me, Frankie?”

“Always, Gee. You’re my one. I love you.” He sealed his promise with a gentle kiss and closed his eyes, just content to be.
