Three Cheers for Red Hair and Love
Mama.
Gerard was waiting in the usual spot after school. Frank hadn’t come shown up for two days now, and it made him feel awful. As if for some reason, this was all his fault. I hate parents.
2:34 glowed in red numerals on the clock next to Gerard’s bed. A creaky noise had awoken him, and now he saw why: his bedroom windows were wide open. The glass panes with the orange frame swung freely in the wind, and a pair of Reebok sneakers rested beside it.
“Hi Gee.” Gerard shrieked, completely unaware of the short figure standing next to his bed. But a smile quickly creeped on to his face.
“You’re crazy.”
“I love you too. Now let’s get the fuck out of here before I get arrested for breaking and entering. Or worse, my parents find out I’m gone.”
