"So do you mostly understand?" Karl asked
"Yeah, you guys are kinda like vampires, only you are Shadow Racers and you are also only able to get to Heaven with the blood of the living soldiers" Gerard said matter of factly
"You sound like you've know this forever" I laughed
"So do you want the blood now?"
"Yes!" Karl and I said at the same time
Gerard held his hand out and Karl and I closed in
"Stop!" a female voice called out
We all turned to see a beautiful girl standing before us, she had a straight black pony tail and cold amber eyes,
"Excuse me but who are you?" Gerard asked
"Sir, step away from that scum!" she called out
"Why?"
"Look Gerard, my name is Hugo, Bella Hugo and I'm trying to protect you from those creatures"
"Wait, like Mr.Hugo? That Hugo?" Karl asked
"Yes, I'm Mrs.Hugo"
"But you're a girl and it said Mr.Hugo" I replied
"Look" she snapped "I wrote it wrong, I'm Mrs.Hugo"
"Okay" I said plainly
she rolled her eyes and continued
"Look, I'm here to stop you two from drinking Gerard's blood. I'm not here to do a meet & greet, alright?"
"Look, there's three of us and one of you. I don't think you're going to stop us from drinking Gerard's blood" I said simply
"I wouldn't be so sure of that"
she was like lighting, she dashed past Karl and me and grabbed Gerard. She had Gerard in a sleeper hold, that's when Bella started to morph and shape into a different form
"What the..." Karl started
he didn't finish because Bella soon had morphed a pair of black wings on her back
"You're not getting my ticket to Heaven" she said in voice that sounded like nails on a chalk board
She still had Gerard, but this time he was in a giant pair of eagle like feet
"What the fuck are you?" Gerard yelled as she prepared for flight
"I'm the natural enemy of a Shadow Racer, ever heard of Fallen Angels?"
She flew swiftly through the night
"MIKEY!!!!" Gerard screamed
Karl and I didn't hesitate to follow Bella as she ripped through the night sky, suddenly Karl stopped
"What's wrong?"
"Mikey, we have four hours to get Gerard's blood before our time runs out"
