Frankie's POV

'I know where ur staying. Have fun w ur lil friends 2nite & tell Ray hi. I'll let u have this time w them.'
'I'm comin 2 pick u up soon. That boy IS pretty but I <3 u much more dear. He can't have u!'
'This is 4 ur own good. You'll understand 1 day that I'm doing this 4 us. C U shortly.'

The texts came one right after another. My blood seemed to run cold. Laughing and joking around with Ray had made me feel so much better until now. There was no way around it, this was much more serious then I could imagine. I handed my cell to Ray. “John. It sounds like he had cameras in the house. Could he have cameras? Are we under surveillance?” I was panicking. “C'mon, we need to tell the others.” His face was as shocked and freaked out as I'm sure mine was. We hurried downstairs just as Mikey and Brendan were coming in the front door. Their faces looked pretty freaked out as well. Gee sat in the middle of the couch with his head in his hand.

“What's wrong guys?” Ray was trying to keep up a brave front.

“John isn't here already, is he?” Three surprised and confused heads suddenly turned to look at me. Guess not. All five of us stood there looking at each other with panic on our faces until Gerard took control.

“Mikey, Brendan, what did you find when you searched the truck?”

“The tracking device.” They both said in almost perfect unison. It would have been funny, except it wasn't. Gee shook his head in disbelief.

“The psycho ex called not too long ago. She wants to get back together, she thinks I'm an idiot obviously. To top it off, she put a tracking device on your truck Ray. She says she's coming up here. I don't know when or what to do about it. Keep the doors locked and ignore the racket?” This day just gets better. Gee had been looking at Ray and I when he was talking, but now he turned to me. “Ok, now what's this about John being here?”

“John called earlier being creepy and telling me to pack a bag and saying he was going to come pick me up.”

“You didn't think to tell anyone about this right away?” Brendan had his hands on his hips and was giving me a look like I was a child in trouble.

“Well, Ray knew.” The three rolled their eyes. “Ok, ok there's more. I felt like I handled the call just fine, like I handled him the first time, you know? This is the first time he's tried to contact me since then and I even tried to get him to tell my mom the truth. Which of course he refused. Once I could tell the call was going downhill, I started to end the call. Then he started in on how he was picking me up. I told him I was calling the police and getting a restraining order. Which I need to do now.”

“It didn't seem that bad, at least from my perspective. We were just getting ready to come downstairs to get something to eat when she started getting all these texts. Now we're worried. We think he might have cameras set up in this cabin. He seems to know who is here right now.” Ray put his arm around me as I gave the cell to Gee to read. It was passed around until everyone was up to date on the situation.

“I'll get on my laptop and find out the best ways to locate cameras and “bugs”. The police need to be called ASAP. Don't worry, there are so many of us here for you. It will be ok.” Mikey and Brendan both came over and squeezed me in a group hug, ignoring the fact that Ray was still attached to me. Gee was still on the couch looking concerned and more than a little shell shocked. Mikey went over and sat next to his brother, wrapping his arm around his shoulders. “Your situation is fine as well, big bro. We can handle this. We will talk to the police about it when they come here, ok? This isn't Fatal Attraction, right? There are no rabbits to boil.”

“Yeah. Not yet.” Gerard nodded and spoke so softly I almost didn't hear it.
