My -High School- Romance
Chapter 8
Is that your boyfriend over there?" Josh smirked, pleased with his -quite frankly, unoffensive- remark.
"Maybe." Frank said, standing about metre away from the kid. "What does it matter."
The kid sighed and hit Frank in the shoulder. "Jus' wanna know if you're a fag, thassall."
Frank laughed a little to himself. He had a kind of 'gangster'y kind of voice, like he was trying to act as if he was on crack or something, and his words were all jumbled up.
"You think thas funny, ya little shit?"
Again: funny. This kid was at least an inch shorter than Frank, too.
"Piss off." Frank spat at Josh.
"Hey, don't do this Frank."
Frank sighed. "Don't worry, Gerard. Give me two minutes and this kid'll be on the ground."
"Will I?" He asked, a smirk on his face.
Frank lifted his fists up threateningly. "Yep." He swung his arm around Josh's face, who ducked and punched Frank hard in the stomache.
He wheezed, black dots filling his peripheral vision. He blindly swung his arm over Josh's face, catching his jaw.
"Please," Gerard begged. "Frank, please stop. You're going to get hurt."
Frank fell to his knees and knodded, wiping his mouth where blood was smeared around him.
Josh rubbed his jaw. "Ow shit." He said. "That hurt, you faggot."
Gerard stood inbetween the two of them. "Stop." He said.
The kid sniggered. "What?"
"Gerard, no." Frank coughed, clutching his stomache.
Gerard stood up straight. "What if I was his boyfriend, eh?" He narrowed his eyes. "Then what?"
What the fuck are you saying, Gee, Frank thought to himself.
"Shut up, Gerard." Josh spat, punching him in the face.
Ow, Gerard clutched his right eye, keeping it closed.
Seconds later they heard the sound of feet getting quieter and quieter, as they opened their eyes to see Josh gone.
"Gerard-" Frank groaned, spitting blood onto the pavement. Frank tried to move his hand off his eye to look at it, but Gerard stepped away,
"Hey, don't worry about it. I'm fine." He tried to cover up the bruise on his eye with his hand, using other one to pull Frank to his feet.
"Hey, thanks." He whispered, spluttering.
Notes
Okay, when I said I'd update tomorrow I lied. I just couldn't get the idea of this chapter out of my head, so I had to write it NOW.
It's not as good as it could be because I'm half asleep and hungry af, but I promise I'll have slept and eaten by the time I update next :)
