New Beginnings

"Gerard. Mikey. Come here please!" I hear my dad call from the living room.. I got up from my bed and walk downstairs to the living room. Mikey was already sitting on the couch mom and dad acroose from him. I sit next to mikey "what's up mom and dad.." "Okay so.me and your father have been talking and" my mom paused. I hate when she does that "and?" I say getting a bit impatient "and we decided we want to adopt a girl.. There is this girl in the local adoption home and I think you guys will get a long very well. We wanted to talk to you about it first though." While I try to process what she just said mikey speaks up " really. I always have wanted a sister.. Not that having Gerard as a brother is bad or anything its just I've always wished we had a sister... Are you guys for real?" "Yes mikey we are.. Gerard what do you think" I gathered my thoughts and finally came up with an answer," I think that's a great idea. But where will she sleep?" " well your dad fixed up the basement and we thought that could be her room.. Her name is kaylee she is 14 only a year younger than mikey and two years younger than you. We can adopt her by next week" a new sister. Wow I can't wait.
