Can't Trust a Girl in Blue

Ch 3

The girl awakens, gasping for air. Where am I? Panic engulfs her as she can’t move her mouth to yell. Tears start to fill her eyes as she struggles to breathe properly. She feels her face franticly with both hands. She has no mouth, just stitches over her lips. Wh-what...? Full of overwhelming fear, she begins to tug on the stitches till her chin is soaked in blood. It drips down into her lap and puddles there.

Giving up because of the pain, she begins to search the room. Seeing nothing but the bed she awoke on and a door. A door. She races for it. But finds no handle, nothing to grasp onto or turn. She pushes with all her weight and force, but it doesn't even budge even a little bit. Terror still overwhelming, she searches for any way out, feelings all over the room. The peeling paint of the walls make the air dry and dusty. She looks down at her clothes. Plain light blue t-shirt and a pair of black undies now stained with blood. The sheets on the bed match her shirt. Confusion, pain, and fear all mixed with her tears. Blood drips as she pulls on her stitches again.

She looks at the door. The door was suddenly wide open. /What?/ But, instead of looking for how or why or even staying to see if it was a who, she runs for it. But, only to be stopped by an unseen force. Black gloved hands grasp tightly on her shirt. Then something covers her eyes and she feels hands pull off what little clothes she had on.

Water drenches her skin, ice cold water, under even colder hands. Rather than the hands feeling, they were almost scrubbing. Cleaning? Why clean me? Then more cold water drenches her completely. A towel runs over her whole body. She was still unable to see anything, only feel. Her curiousity of what was before her, taking a weird form of care for her, started to crawl and kept her silent when the hands touched places they shouldn't. But by now, she had quit fighting. Rather, she let them finish, almost trusting them. Then the blindfold uncovers her eyes, and she looks around in fear, yet some curiosity, of what would be in front of her.

“Don’t speak,” says the boy above her. He couldn’t be much older than 19. His dark eyes looking down at hers, somehow she finds herself trying to trust him. Not struggling or fighting against him. “Get to bed, sleep. Tomorrow you need to be worried but today be thankful for a washing Autumn.” He hands her new clothes, taking her other ones.

Autumn's light brown eyes terrified. She shakes, but makes no other movement as the tall and very thin boy leaves the room, slamming hard the door behind him. Short moments go by before the lights go off. She forgets where the bed is, feeling for it all over. Relief when her hands grasp around the metal headboard.

As she climbs in and covers up, she thinks of how she got here. Where was I last? But, soon her thoughts lead to too many dead ends and thus giving up. She lays in wake till her eyes can’t stay open anymore. Then slowly, sleep consumes her completely.
