“We’re going to miss you so much Sapph!” Maria yelled into the student-filled halls. Sure you are.

“I’m gonna miss you guys too!” I lied. All people that called me their friend were standing outside my now empty locker.

“You make sure to text me as much as you can. And tell me if you meet any hot guys over there in Jersey,” Rory said as she winked at me. Rory was probably my only real friend here. Now I get to escape this god forbidden boring town. I live in a small town in Nebraska. And I hate it here. Red Cloud is a very small town with not that many people here. However, within this small town, there are many selfish jerks here. Rory was the only one ever true to me.

“I love you Sapphire!” Marcy repeated for the millionth time. Even though she never actually means it.

“I love you too Marcy!” I lied again. I gave them all hugs and started walking down the hall. I turned and saw Jack wink at me. God! He is such a perv! I dated him earlier this year. The first day we started dating we went to the park. I had to use the restroom. When I got out of the stall, he was standing there staring at me with lust-filled eyes.

“Um, what are you doing here?” I asked starting to get a bad feeling. He pulled me to him and his lips collided with mine. I tried to push him away from me but he was too strong. He started planting kisses down my neck, and his hands made his way to my breasts. I kicked him and started running. He grabbed my wrist and pulled me back. Once he swung me around, I lifted my fist and hit him square in the jaw. He fell to the floor as I ran out. He’s been trying to get back with me ever since.

I just looked away from him in discuss. I am glad that I’m leaving him. I guess that’s what I get for dating a sixteen year-old when I was only thirteen. As I kept walking, I saw Neal. He has been a good friend to me, kinda. Well he says I am cool, but he usually just borrows money from me to go see his girlfriend. Unfortunantly he’s also friends with Jack. Even after I told him what had happened at the park.

“Bye Neal!” He flashed that amazing smile of his at me. Rory and I had a crush on him when we were younger. That’s actually how Neal and I became friends, because Rory and I were always trying to talk to him.

“Come here Sapph, let me give you one last hug,” I laughed and gave him a hug. I love his hugs they were always so warming. Damn I’m really going to miss you!”

“I’m gonna miss you Emo Bitch.”

“Hahaha” I laughed sarcastically. ‘Emo Bitch’ was the name he and Jack gave me because one day we were hanging out and I was wearing all black so they called me Emo Bitch.

“I’m just kidding you know I love ya”

“Ya, ya, whatever love you too. I’m really gonna miss you!”

“Me too.” As I turned to walk away, Neal’s brother, Adam came up to us. He just looked down and opened his locker.

“Goodbye, Adam,” I sighed and looked away. It was so painful to leave him.

‘Bye,” One word, that’s it one word. I could feel tears pricking at my eyes so I just turned and left. I walked down the stairs one last tome and jetted out the school. I just can’t think about what Adam did to me earlier this year. But It’s too late the memories were already flooding back.

The middle of November of last year.

“You know I really like you.” Adam smiled.

“I really like you too.” We were sitting on his bed watching some show that I wasn’t even paying attention to.

“Can I kiss you?” He asked.

“You don’t even have to ask,” after I said that his lips were on mine. Our lips were molding together. It felt like we were meant to be. He pulled away after a few seconds, but I pulled him back down. His kisses were starting to get rougher. But I liked it. He pushed me down onto the bed and we started shedding our clothes. A minute later we were both naked on his bed. He kissed my lips gently and started moving down my neck slowing. Leaving a tingling sensation wherever he kissed. It felt so good.

“Adam,” I breathed, “I love you.” He pulled his head up and looked into my eyes.

“I love you too Sapphire,” he started kissing me again, and soon I could feel him enter me. It felt so good. It made love him even more. He started slow but then quickened his pace. I was so close I moaned but then he pulled out. I groaned.

“Sorry but I don’t want you to get pregnant or anything.” That was smart since we weren’t using protection. But I still wanted him so much. You should probably get going, Neal should be home in a little bit.

“Okay, fine.” I got dressed, and we went downstairs. I gave him a hug and he pulled my chin up for a kiss. We weren’t dating, but maybe now that was going to change.

I texted him later that night. I asked what our relationship was. My heart broke when he said what he did. He said that he really liked me but he couldn’t see us in a relationship. I asked why he said that he loved me then, and he said he just wasn’t thinking.

At that moment I broke down crying. I cried for weeks. Especially when I over heard him talking about how he had fucked a girl from another town. Then I cried all the time. Every time I saw him, I would start crying. That pain will always be in my heart I know it.

Adam never talked to me again. I would always try to speak to him at games, and at school, but he would just ignore me. Well now, he’s getting what he wanted. I’m going to be out of his life forever. Maybe this move will help me get over Adam. God I hope so.
