The Boy Next Door...

**Natalie POV**

Frank: Can I come over now?
Natalie: Sure just meet me at the front door.
Frank: On my way

I got out of bed and opened my door quietly and headed down the stairs making sure my mom was asleep and sure enough I heard her soft snore so I headed to the front door to let frank in when I opened it I can’t help but smile he looked around me “Where’s my bag?” I put my finger to my lips and told him “Come up I want to show you something.” And he followed. When we were up to my room I closed the door and locked it. I then turned around to see Frank smiling “So what do you want to show me?” I said nothing but only walked to my desk, pulled out my pack of cigarettes, hopped up, opened the skylight, and pulled myself through. I looked back through the skylight “Come on it’s safe.” He just smiled and followed what I did.

When he pulled himself through he looked around in amazement then spoke “Natalie you are definitely crazy this is insane.” I just laughed and handed him a cigarette we lit up and we sat in silence for awhile until he huffed and broke the silence “So Natalie I wanted to tell you something really important and I want you to know if you have any questions please don’t hesitate to ask.”

**Frank POV**

When I pulled myself through I looked around in amazement and said “Natalie you are definitely crazy this is insane.” she just laughed and handed me a cigarette we lit up and we sat in silence for awhile until I huffed and broke the silence I really didn’t know how to begin so I started with a simple statement. “So Natalie I wanted to tell you something really important and I want you to know if you have any questions please don’t hesitate to ask.” She looked me in the eyes and nodded her head and said “Okay.” I cleared my throat and paused collecting my thoughts then began my story about Jamia and the ordeal that I’m going through.

“Natalie before I moved here I had a exclusive girlfriend that I devoted all of my time to we dated for a year and a half before we broke up due to her infidelity that I found out was happening weeks before our official breakup. We were having issues due to my moving but I always promised I would see her on vacations, long weekends, and anytime I just needed to see her. She I guess decided that wasn’t good enough and started cheating on me so when we moved I was more then happy to put my past behind me I told her to never speak to me again and that I hope she was happy with her new found love. Well today as I assume you know she called me.” Natalie just looked at me silently and nodded and I continued “She told me she was pregnant and she really just wanted to talk to me about her problems so I agreed and told her I would talk to her later today, well when I did end up talking to her she not only told me her problems but she told me she thought the baby might be mine as well but didn’t know for sure.” I pause to see if Natalie wanted to say anything and after a moment she did.

“So is Jamia going to get a paternity test to determine if it’s yours or not?” I look at her and only nod Natalie then scoots closer to me and wraps her arms around me in a big hug “I’m so sorry she cheated on you Frank, that’s really horrible.” I hugged back and told her “I’ve made my peace about the cheating it’s the baby I’m worried about.” She hugged me tighter “It’s okay Frank whatever happens I’ll be here for you, everyone makes mistakes and things just happen.” My head and thoughts sigh with relief and we release each other “I told Jamia that she shouldn’t call me until she has a paternity date for me to go to, I just at this point have no idea what to think we have always been safe except for our last encounter when everything just kind of happened.” She nodded some more letting me speak my mind “When she cheated I thought the world was over I just couldn’t function anymore and when I finally got over it and out of my mind this happens, I’m not saying I still love her and would go back to her I mean it in the way of I conquered my feelings and took control and I will always wish her well but that would be the extent of it.”

Natalie put her head on my shoulder and inhaled some of her cigarette and when she puffed out she decided to tell me one of her secrets too.

**Natalie POV**

“Frank when I was a Freshman I thought my life was great I had amazing friends, my grades were perfect, and the guy I really liked started to notice me. Well one Friday Daniel the guy I liked invited me to come to a party he was throwing that weekend I accepted right away and told Gerard and immediately told Gerard about it, but Gerard told me that it sounded fishy and I shouldn’t go he told me several times I shouldn’t go but I didn’t listen and went anyway so during the whole night at the party Daniel had been handing me cup after cup of beer or liquor and of course I drank it and became really tipsy so when he took me upstairs to see his room he started to kiss me after he shut the door and I really didn’t think anything of it because I thought well maybe we will just make out but then he started to feel me up and I kept telling him no but he persisted and every time I told him no or stop he got more annoyed and more rough to the point I thought he was going to hurt me so the only thing I knew to do was to give in and after that it was all just a blur when he finished I hurried and put my clothes on and ran out of the house straight to Gerard’s where I stayed and he took care of me.”

At this point I’m shaking not only from the memory but from the chilliness from the night air. Frank put his arm around me felt how cold I was and took off his jacket and raised it up for me to slide my arms in after I had zipped it up he replaced his arm around me and held me tight then spoke softly to me “Natalie there are no words I could say to make you forget about your pain and suffering, but I want you to know that I promise you that will never happen again and I will make damn sure that promise is kept till the day I die.” I turned my face to him and he cupped my cheeks and gave my forehead a gentle kiss then pulled my face up to look into his eyes “You don’t have to worry about any of that anymore because I am here for you, just like you are here for me.” there is more I need to tell him about the story but I just shudder remembering it and he knowingly understands me somehow and lets my face go and gives me a deep hug. “Natalie say no more we can finish our stories another night.”

After our confessions we sit on my roof a bit longer looking at the starry sky, when I start to yawn Frank lets go and says “lets go in.” I nod and let him go in first when it’s my turn I wiggle myself in and try to find the ledge of the desk like I always do but couldn’t find it but I feel Frank’s hands on my waist helping me get lowered in and I slowly let myself down with his help. He lowers me all the way to the floor to where I’m firmly standing on my feet again, but he doesn’t let go of my waist we stand there for some time looking at each other in the eyes. I finally ask him something I didn’t ever think I would ask someone “Will you stay with me tonight until I fall asleep?” he smiled at me real big and said “Of course I will.” And with that he let go of me I turned off the light and we crawled in my bed.

We laid there cuddled together and he played with my hair until I fell asleep. I could feel subconsciously the bed moving after awhile and something soft and warm touch my cheek.

**Frank POV**

I hear here yawn so I let her go and say “lets go in.” she nods to me and she lets me go in first when it’s her turn I see her struggling to place her feet so I grab her waist and lower her to the floor slowly as to not make a noise and also because I was enjoying holding her, when she finally has her feet on the floor I keep my hands where they are and we stare into each others eyes. She finally asks me something after a long silence something I never expected “Will you stay with me tonight until I fall asleep?” I smiled at Natalie feeling overly joyed and I said “Of course I will.” After that she turns off the light and we crawl into bed.

We laid there cuddled together and I had so many thoughts running through my mind so to pass the time I played with her hair waiting until she fell asleep, and when she finally did I still laid there for some time, but reluctantly got up to leave anyway but before I left though I bent over and kissed her cheek. She smiled in her sleep and all I could do was smile at her angelic face. I grabbed all of my stuff and left her house and when I finally got to my room I got ready for bed and started counting the hours until I saw her again.

Notes

So this week has been something different we are in the midst of making blue prints for the house we are going to build and we also had a family friend take her own life this past week as well. Both of these life events have just been so overwhelming. I feel like I can't be happy or sad. my next weeks chapter might come late so please bare with me. Comment, Rate, Subscribe. <3
