Chapter 8:
Tuesday
I woke up to the sound of Gerard walking around the room, opening and closing draws and the wardrobe, i lifted myself up and rubbed my eyes, adjusting to the light. 'What you doing?' I muttered, trying to focus, but my eyes seemed too sleepy. I noticed as Gerard looked at me and smiled, 'Getting dressed, and i think you should be too' He said, I looked at the clock, the time was 7:30 am and we would be going to breakfast pretty soon, 'Shit' I muttered under my breath and jumped out of bed, the cold suddenly hitting me, I shivered whilst dragging some clothes out of the wardrobe and putting them on, Gerard just laughed at me, 'What you laughing at?' I said, whilst fastening up my jeans, 'You' He smiled, biting his lip, 'Why?' I said, confused at what appeared to be funny, 'Your just cute, that's all' He blushed, before continuing to fix his hair, I looked down and i could feel myself blushing, did he just really say that? and most importantly, did he actually mean it? I finally finished getting ready and luckily it was just in time, as i could hear raving teenagers leaving their rooms and heading down to the hall, Me and Gerard left our room and began to walk behind them, keeping our distance of course, as i knew Gerard was very shy, so i took that into consideration, not that i mind, Gerard means alot to me and i would do anything to make sure he is comfortable. 'So, we both have music first' Gerard said, checking his timetable and then stuffing it into his pocket, 'I guess that's not so bad, what do you do in music?' I asked, as we approached the hall doors, 'Uh, well...I uh, sing, but I'm not that good, uh...what do you wanna do?' He said, averting the subject from him, which confused me, why would he be ashamed of singing, that a brilliant talent. 'Well, I used to play guitar at my old school so i hope they let me do it here, you know, Its the only thing i can do' I said, as we walked into the crowded hall, Gerard nodded as we went to the part of the canteen where they put toast out, I picked up some and placed it onto my plate, Gerard doing the same and then we went to sit down, at our usual seats, I watched as Gerard took a bit of his toast. 'Gee, on the way here, when you said you sing, you seemed like...really embarrassed about it...how come?' I said, taking a bite of my toast, which seemed kinda cold, but i guess it wasn't too bad. Gerard placed his toast down and looked at me, 'I just don't think I'm any good, that's all' He said, looking down at his hands then proceeding to eat his toast, I didn't bother him further as i would be finding out how good he was very soon.
Once breakfast was over we went to our first class, Music. Gerard showed me where he sat so i joined him, placing my bag down, soon a teacher walked in, he had long ish black hair and he was wearing a black suit, he seemed cool, but let me guess, he would probably be a strict ass hole just like all the others. I watched as he waited patiently for all the students to calm down before speaking, 'Now class, were going to be doing practise today, so whatever you need, get it now and you may begin' He said, before sitting down and getting out some paper, I turned to Gerard 'I don't have a guitar, mine is back home' I sighed, Gerard stood up and went to a cupboard, pulling out a guitar, he walked back over to me and held it out, 'Here, will that do?' He said, I smiled and took it from him, 'Yes, thank you' I said, as i began to tune it up, I noticed that Gerard was watching me, which i didn't mind at all. I began to play a few things on it to warm up as i hadn't played properly for a while due to moving here and stuff, but i seemed okay, i wasn't that bad. 'When did you learn to play?' Gerard suddenly asked, I looked up from the guitar and pushed my fringe out of my face, I watched as Gerard concentrated on my face, 'Well, Its been a while, i think i started when i was about 6, I took in interest in guitars' I smiled, before looking back down at the guitar, 'Your good' I heard him say, 'Hey, thanks' I said, glancing up and smiling at him. We sat quietly for a few moments as i tuned up the guitar and made sure it sounded right when suddenly i heard someone singing, and it wasn't just anyone, it was Gerard, I pretended i didn't notice in order not to make him feel awkward and i listened, still concentrating on the guitar, to the beautifully sang words that slipped out of his mouth, '...Never let them take the light behind your eyes...'. I listened for a little while until he stopped and i looked up at him, 'Gerard, that was amazing' I said, smiling at him, 'You really mean that?' He smiled, his face lighting up, 'Yes, your voice is perfect' I said and Gerard wouldn't stop smiling.
***TIME LAPSE***
It was soon time to go back to our rooms. Me and Gerard slumped down onto our beds, 'Gerard, when you sang earlier, it was perfect, your voice is amazing' I said, still unable to forget those beautiful words he sang earlier on. Gerard looked over at me and he beamed, 'Thanks Frankie' He said, 'You shouldn't be embarrassed about it, I loved every bit of it, you should sing for me sometime' I smiled and Gerard's cheeks flushed bright red, 'Uh, yeah, sometime i will' He smiled, biting his lip which i thought was really hot. 'Come sit here' I said, patting the space beside me, Gerard smiled, got up and joined me, sitting beside me. 'Yes Frank?' he whispered, looking at me, our eyes locked together, I leaned in and kissed him gently on the lips, It took a moment for Gerard to realise and soon he was moving in time with me. I pulled away and looked at him, he blushed, 'I really like you...' I whispered.
