Boys will be boys
Chapter 1:
(Franks POV)
As i got off the train, i was greeted by a huge derelict building which was clearly old and had alot of damage to it, it had huge stained glass windows and an almost eerie, old fashioned look to it, which made me shudder a little, I sighed as I took the handle of my suitcase and dragged it along with me over the gravel pavement, listening as it hit the rocks beneath me. A few other kids followed me as they were also joining the boarding school. As i got closer and closer i could see a few students gathered around chatting away and minding their own business, a few of them turned to stare at me as i walked by, a few of them shooting me funny looks and giggles, I'm guessing that they haven't seen a boy in eye liner before. I rolled my eyes and shot them an evil stare before continuing to walk towards the entrance. I finally reached the huge doors, and noticed one of them was propped open a little, i pushed it open wider as i walked inside, listening to it as it creaked back to its original position behind me, which must have got the office lady's attention as she turned and looked at me, she looked as if she was in her mid 40's and she was dressed head to toe in black, the only thing standing out was her red lipstick that looked like it had been done carelessly, she pursed her lips as i walked towards her, i watched as she studied me. 'And you are?' She spoke, lifting her thin rimmed glasses and putting them on. I cleared my throat before i spoke, 'Frank, Frank Iero, the kid who's not supposed to be here' I said sarcastically, truth is, I'm not supposed to be here, if anything it would probably make my behaviour a damn lot more inadequate. The woman looked at me again and shot me a wicked stare, she almost looked like a witch, 'Well, Frank, from what I've heard you have every reason to be here' she said, her voice husky and worn out. I rolled my eyes again as she turned around and left the office, she reappeared from another door and now she was standing next to me, with a key in her hand. 'Follow me' she said, walking ahead of me and leading me down a long, dark corridor. After what seemed like forever she stopped in front of a door. 'This will be your room, and due to space issues you are sharing with another boy, his name is Gerard and let me say he is probably one of the more well mannered students in this place' she spat, opening the door. I walked in and saw a boy quickly stand up from a bed, his hair was short and blonde, almost white, his face was very pale and his lips were a pinky colour, he looked like a bundle of nerves, so he obviously was not used to having someone else in his room, especially someone who can be a dick like me. I smiled briefly at him until the creepy office woman, who I'm now going to address her as, broke the silence, 'Here's your key, you will be joining Gerards classes, breakfast is at 8 each morning and classes start at 9' she huffed, 'have a decent day' she added before walking out and slamming the door behind her. Decent huh? I suppose that's nice enough. The boy went and sat back on his bed, getting out a notebook and pencil. I dragged my stuff and placed it on the other bed beside him, which looked like it had to be mine. I looked over at the pale boy who was scribbling on his paper, his tongue sticking out a little, which i thought was kinda cute, he seemed fragile. I decided i had to break the silence somehow and make conversation. 'Hi' I smiled, sitting down and kicking my shoes off. 'Hey' He said, still concentrating on what he was doing. 'What's your name?' I asked, i guess i needed to know, i couldn't just call him 'boy' forever. 'Gerard, Gerard Way, and you are?' He smiled, stuffing his book back into his pocket and sitting up to look at me. He still looked pretty tense. 'Oh I'm Frank, Frank Iero, nice to meet ya Gee' I said, i guess Gee was quicker to say than Gerard. He looked at me funny for a moment before resuming his usual face. 'What?' i laughed, lying down and resting my head on my arms. 'You called me Gee, nobody has before' He said, fiddling with his hoodie strings. I watched as his face looked nervous again, which kinda made me feel bad, as i didn't want to come across as intimidating or anything. 'Well i shall call you Gee if that's okay with you' I laughed and i watched as his face lit up a little and he smiled timidly at me, 'Sure, Frankie' He giggled, did he just call me Frankie? I'm pretty sure he did, oh well. I then noticed his hoodie had metallica on it, Gee has an awesome music taste. 'You like metallica too then huh?' I said, gesturing towards his hoodie, he looked down at it then smiled, 'Yeah, I love them' He said. 'So do i, i listened to them growing up, i like music' I said, opening my bag and rummaging around for my metallica hoodie, i finally found it and pulled it out, holding it up for Gee to see, he smiled again and grabbed something from under his bed, it was another hoodie, he held it up and i realised it was exactly the same as mine, we both laughed. 'How about that' I smiled, placing my hoodie back down beside me. We sat in silence for a minute until i decided to speak again. 'Loosen up, you haven't gotta be shy around me, be yourself Gee' I said, staring at him, i couldn't help it, he was so cute and perfect, the way he has dimples when he smiles, i don't think I've felt this way about someone before. I watched as he smiled again, 'Sure' He said, 'So how come your here?' he added, shuffling a little on his bed to get comfy. 'Well to cut a long story short I'm not exactly the most best behaved kid, back home i used to get into all sorts of trouble, going out and getting drunk, doing drugs a few times, I'm surprised i haven't been caught and arrested yet, well anyway, my parents couldn't cope with me therefore I'm here, which i kinda don't want to be' I said, watching as Gerard payed attention to me, which shocked me, not alot of people pay that much attention to me. 'So, how come your here?' I added. Gerard snapped out of listening and began to speak, 'Well i never really got along with my younger brother, we used to argue and fight all the time, my parents couldn't cope so they split us up and that's why I've been here the past few years' I said, sighing a little. 'Why didn't they send your brother?' I asked, which i felt was a dumb move. I guess i was just curious. 'Well, my brother is younger so they sent the oldest...me' he said. 'And do you miss him?' I said, feeling a little intruding but i guess if you don't ask you will never know. Gerard looked up at me 'Not really' He said, 'I've never really liked him, i guess i miss my parents but I'm happy here, on my own' he added, on his own, what did he mean by that?...'Don't you like having company?' I said, feeling a little offended but i didn't take it to heart as he seemed like a very disrupted teenager. 'Well yeah, but I'm constantly bullied so sometimes i do like being alone' He said, looking like he was about to cry. Which made me feel guilty, was it something he didn't want people to know or something? 'Are you okay?' I said, lowering my tone a little. 'Y-yeah' he stuttered, wiping a few tears from his eyes, i joined him on his bed, sitting down next to him. 'You can talk to me if you ever need too' I said, placing my hand on his back in an attempt to comfort him.
