The Girl Next Door

*Jinx P.O.V.*
The car came to a stop and I looked up. We had stopped at an empty, small park near the mall in a part of town I hadn't been to yet. Gerard, Mikey, and I got out, walking toward the park.
"Are you feeling better?" Gerard asks.
"I guess. It's just sad, you know? At least at my old school they just ignored me with the occasional bully."
"Why were they so mean to you?"
"I don't know. I guess that it's because I was afraid."
"Afraid of what?"
"Everything. Failing, getting hurt, being the one that they beat up for fun.It never helped that I was smaller than all of them. It just told them that they could hurt me even more." My breathing started to get thick. Gerard hadn't noticed yet, but Mikey had.
"Jinx, are you okay?" He asked. I just shook my head, sliding to the ground and closing my eyes. Gerard knelt in front of me.
"What is it?" He asked. I knew what is was, but I couldn't answer. Gerard picked me up and carried me toward the car, laying me in the back seat. Do you need the hospital?" I frantically shook my head. Mom works at the hospital.
"We should take her anyways." Mikey says. "Just in case." They shut the door and went up front. The last thing I remember before everything went dark was Gerard starting the car.
