2-Breaking The Ice

The sound of the dial tone in my ear was the last thing on my mind. I almost thought he wouldn't pick up. Maybe it's be better if I hadn't.
"Hello? Who's this?" He questioned.
"Frank. Please, please come pick me up, I don't know how to get home. Please?" I said, pitifully. I started to cry again upon remembering my situation.
"Too late, I'm already home. You're cute, some one'll drop you off. Call me when you get there, let me know you're safe." Was all I heard prior to the two beeps signaling that he was no longer on the line.
Leave it to Chris to abandon me on the side of the rode then tell me to call when I'm home safe. Fucking bastard.
I decided to let myself cry as I knocked on the door to give the man his phone back, I agreed with him on that one, I could use my looks or tears to get me a ride.
He opened the door and looked at me, I kept my head down and handed him the phone. I wanted him to know I was crying but I didn't want him to see me cry. I was always ugly when I cried.
"Do you have a ride, now? Where are you trying to get to?" The man asked. He had a very distinctive face, you just couldn't forget it. Even if you didn't think he was attractive, you could point him out in a crowd.
"I need a ride, actually. I'm heading uh, to Jasper Place. I don't know how far it is from here." He nodded and offered me a ride saying that it wasn't that far and he grocery shops around there.
Most of the ride home was silent other than the hum of music on the radio.
"Where exactly in Jasper Place? What building?" And he turned to me. That made me really uncomfortable, I'm paranoid when it comes to people keeping their god damn eyes on the road.
"1240." I answered bluntly. I can't believe I forgot to tell him that. I turned my head and began to stare at him. His fiery locks blew gently around his head in the crisp spring wind. It suited him well.
In that moment I realized that I had just gotten into a car with an extremely good-looking man.
"What's your name?" I asked meekly, nearly caving into myself. His looks made me nervous. I wondered which side of the family those bright hazel eyes were from.
"It's Gerard. Yours?" He said. I started to answer but the car had already stopped. He still seemed to be expecting an answer. I looked out the window then opened the passenger door.
"I'm Frank." I answered before shutting the door with a bit too much force. I was eager to escape the tension that built up so quickly in the tiny, black VW Beetle.
As I began to walk away from the car, awkwardly of course, I heard him shout something along the lines of "Well, Frank, I know where you live now. I'll be seeing you again." Let's hope so.
My smirk didn't falter until I put my key in the door only to have it yanked open. Shit.
