Death's Tour

The Dream

It was three in the morning. I bet we all looked like zombies. I know Ray did, with tired bags under his eyes and a slightly crazed hint of fear in his eyes. His jaw was taut, and he kept glancing around the room.
All of us finally gathered around the sorry, beaten down table we had eaten lunch on in the tour bus. I glared at Bob as he took a swig of beer. If anything, we all needed a clear head right now.
"I saw her," Ray suddenly muttered. All heads turned to him. No one knew what to think. Who was she? What was she? What was she doing?
"A phantom girl. Long white hair, fancy black dress, etc. And you could see her scull." I felt a chill creep down my spine. Was she Death or something?
"She shows you your death. Gruesome."
"What'd you see?" Bob asked. I groaned. What the hell was wrong with him? Ray's eyes grew dark.
"You don't wanna know," he answered. I shuddered. It wasn't like Ray to lose his cheery cool.
"Do you think there's anything we could do?" I asked.
"I doubt it, except for avoiding that bathroom. And we'll have to decide what to do with Gerard and Frank. We have a few days until the next concert, but we're in the middle of this tour. We really can't quit now," Ray pointed out. I agreed.
"We can't move for the time being either. Gerard is in the bus with a knife. We could take another bus, but we can't exactly abandon Gerard on his own in his state. And we'll need him," I added.
"We could stay in the driver's room while we're on the road," Bob blurted out. We stared at him.
"Brilliant!" Ray exclaimed and jumped up. His face had the energy of a few dozen coffees behind it, quite obviously. I grabbed his arm.
"Calm yo self. Yes, it's a good idea. But we also need to be fully awake then. We need sleep. I'll see if we can stay at a hotel or something for the night."
Ray calmed down. "Ok, fine. You do that, I'll take care of everything else."
With that, the meeting ended and i left to find us a hotel.
I walked outside and took a moemnt to take in the New Jersey night. I had put on a black sweatshirt before leaving, so maybe I'd look less mug-able. I'd grown up around here, so I knew what it was like. Especially around the Newark and Trenton area, even daytime was dangerous. I made my way towards a hotel I knew was nearby with a confident gait. Several times i saw hungry eyes staring ta me from the shadows, but thankfully i got past without trouble. I pulled off my hood as I entered the hotel.
I quickly looked around, though I didn't know what I was looking for. A made my way to the reception and managed to get us two adjoining rooms. After I had that done, I took out my phone. I was about to text Gerard, only to remember his state with a sick feeling in my stomach. I ended up texting Ray, AKA Princess Fro Fro, as it stated in my contacts.
A short while later, Ray and Bob arrived with a few nondescript bags, probably with clothing and other nessesities. We made out way to our assigned rooms. Since I was the youngest, I got stuck on the foldout chair in Bob's room.
I lay there for what seemed like hours after we all decided to hit the hay. I could hear Bobs snoring in the background, but I didn't have the same luck with falling asleep. I tried to think of anything: music, darkness, unicorns, guitar. But my mind always made its way back to the one topic I wanted to avoid: Gee and Frank.
When I finally fell into an uneasy sleep, Gerard's eyes kept staring at me out from the shadows. They seemed right in my face, but shadows covered everything but the terrified and terrifying hazel eyes. My stomach dropped, and I wanted to scream, to cry out, to wake up. But it get like someone had put on of those lead bibs at the dentist's over my head and chest. It wasn't painful, but it was heavy and persistent.
I saw the pupils in the eyes fluctuate, expanding and shrinking to the beat of my painfully thumping heart.
I realized someone was shaking me. "Mikey, dude, don't you go too. Don't do this to me." When I woke up, I was screaming feebly, my throat raw.
