Death's Tour
Destroya
Fortunately, everything turned out fine, and soon we were on a new bus, where we had gotten settled as much as we could in literally a minute. The bus started off to the venue we had been at last night. Carefully, I stepped out and walked over to the door of the tour bus. Frank had been put into the hospital over night for head trauma and shock, thankfully, so we didn't have to pull him back from his insane best friend (boyfriend?) for now.
I knocked on the door cautiously. No answer. I cracked it open, and when nothing happened, I opened it all the way. The lights were still off, so I turned them on to see everything.
Everything was strewn about, ripped and broken and in general disarray. However, Gerard was no longer screaming or running. Instead, he was curled up on the couch, bags under his eyes and his hair sticking in different directions. The cuts on his arms had started healing, and he seemed peaceful.
The moment I walked up near him, his eyes snapped open, a haunted look in them. He didn't move otherwise, just stared at me.
"Hey," I whispered at him, not managing anything louder. He still didn't budge. I kneeled next to him and tried to take his arm to examine his wounds. We quickly jerked it away and sat up, managing rigid posture for a millisecond before slouching. He suddenly looked about 50 years older than he was, and tired. So tired.
I kneeled lower, trying to catch his eye. He was hunched over, bedraggled hair hanging over his face in messy strands and his makeup was messed up, smudges of it all over his face. He sighed, and looked at me. He looked beaten and broken, which broke my heart.
"Hey, Gee. The others are outside. Wanna come?" I whispered. He groaned. "Come on, man." I hugged him under his arms and lifted him off the couch. He groaned in complaint, but I ignored that and walked him to the door, and then carefully down the stairs and to the bus where the rest were waiting. Before we even got to the door it swung open and Mikey ran out to help his brother. But, Gerard pushed him away for some reason. He looked ready to cry.
"You did it."
