Death's Tour
Found
The next morning, I woke up and turned over to face where Mikey had been sleeping. I nearly jumped out of my skin when he wasn't there.
"Fuck," I kept repeating in my mind. How didn't I keep watching him to make sure he kept put? Stupid, blundering me.
Thinking over where he could've gone, I got dressed in black jeans and a black sweatshirt then made my way to the room that Ray was in.
"I don't know where Mikey is," I admitted. Ray jumped up, eyes slightly wild.
"WHAT THE FUCK MAN?!"
"He had a nightmare last night. I woke him up, but I fell asleep before he did. I don't know."
Ray seemed to grow due to anger. His nostrils flared and he glared at me. "I swear to god, if anything happens to him-" he let the threat hang in the air. He stormed past me out the door. I followed him.
"I just hope that-" his almost-rant was cut off by a sigh of relief as he spotted Mikey on one of the lobby couches, just starting to stir. I watched as Ray quickened his pace until he was standing in front of the sleeping Way.
Ray's POV
I don't know why I got so worked up about Mikey. I guess I didn't want to lose both Way brothers. In any case, it was a relief to find Mikey in one piece and nearby, in what seemed to be a reasonable mental state.
He groaned as he awoke, blinking in the light. "The eyes... Are they gone?" He muttered. I shook my head.
"There weren't any eyes to begin with Mikey. What's up?"
"I had a dream... Then... Eyes in every shadow... Gerard's eyes..." He was cut off by a coughing fit. I sighed and shook my head.
"This whole thing is getting to you. Come on, you need rest." I hefted him over my shoulder as he weakly gave me a playful slap on the back. I furrowed my brow. He must have had a terrible sleep. Mikey was usually stronger than that, and would've tried to wiggle out of my grasp. But here he was, perfectly fine slung over my shoulder.
I carried him upstairs and dumped him on Bob's bed. "Get dressed and stuff. the bus will be out front in an hour."
"I'm not the one who needs to comb my lucious fro. I'll be fine. Go," he assured me. With a sigh I left, hoping that I hadn't made a big mistake.
