You Only Hear the Music When Your Heart Begins to Break
Just A One Night Stand To Someone That You May Or May Not Be Madly In Love With, And Pretending Nothing Happened Even Though You're Painfully Aware Something Did In Fact Happen
*Frank's Point of View*
"No, I'm being completely serious!" I laughed, shoving Mikey lightly. "I think he likes you!" Mikey shook his head, "Nah. Gerard and his friends hate fags." I laughed quietly, "I think Ray knows a thing or two about keeping secrets though." I pushed.
Ray was staring at us, or Mikey rather, from across the cafeteria. Today we were graced by the company of the incredibly attractive, Ryan Ross, and his three other friends who were all pretty good looking, Brendon Urie, Pete Wentz, and the notoriously shy Patrick Stump, who was listening to Mikey and I with an intent stare.
"Okay, so my brother had this chick over last night, and god were they noisy." Mikey changed the subject as he played with my hair, "Like, I could hear them from my room, and they were in the fucking basement." I felt my face grow flushed. We weren't really that noisy were we? I thought we kept almost quiet...
"Wanna come watch a movie over at my place tonight?" I hurried out. A small frown twisted over Mikey's face, "Can't. You can come over to mine though." He chirped, "Gerard is having Ray over so they shouldn't bother us. Ray is looking out for you." He added.
Ryan cleared his throat, reminding us that he was still there, "You two lovebirds got a second?" He joked. I choked on my soda, and Mikey blushed furiously, "We aren't lovebirds!" He defended. "Sure..." Ryan smiled at us.
"You guys wanna come to the football game with us this Friday?" Ryan inquired. Brendon was leaning lazily against the taller boy, eyeing him like his next meal. Ryan slapped his arm and blushed, "We're at school." He hissed.
I burst out laughing, and Pete was also snickering. "We'd love to join you guys at the football game!" I said through laughter.
"Great..." Ryan mumbled, obviously embarrassed.
Brendon was just smirking at him.
Mikey nodded in agreement to my statement about joining Ryan and his friends at the football game.
"And Mikey, I guess I'll come over." I sounded unenthusiastic, and I smirked at him. He punched my arm lightly, and I laughed.
"Gerard Way is staring at you, Frank." Patrick piped up.
"Probably wondering how he'll torment me next." I scoffed.
I knew that what happened between us wouldn't happen again. It was a feverish moment of clouded judgement. That was all it was... for him.
I felt myself falling hopelessly in like with Gerard. Every time I saw his face my stomach knotted when I saw his face, and not in fear. It was a good feeling, even though I knew that whatever he had in store for me today would not feel pleasant.
"No, he looks... dreamy." Pete giggled.
I glanced over my shoulder, and sure enough, Gerard was resting his head on his fold arms, and staring at me with a glazed look in his eyes.
Ray was trying to get his attention, throwing fries at him. Pfft. What a waste.
Finally, Ray jerked Gerard's hair, and the boy punched him right in the nose before furrowing his eyebrow and helping Ray to his feet, apologizing over and over it seemed. Poor Ray. Didn't deserve that.
Mikey looked back as well, watching the scene unfold.
Ray soon began to laugh and Gerard scowled angrily. He said something that made Ray's face pale.
Curious, I stood up and drew a little closer to the pair, hearing what they were saying. "I totally do not!" Ray exclaimed, his face burning red.
Gerard snickered and nodded, "Let's just shut up and agree that neither of us are entirely straight." He almost whispered.
"Does that mean that we wont have to pick on your brother and his friend anymore?" Ray inquired, wrinkling his nose.
Gerard scowled, "Not so."
"Fine."
I was kind of curious what about what they had been talking about. I turned around and crashed into Mikey, causing us both to fall. Ryan stood up, laughing, and helped us untangle ourselves from each other.
Gerard and Ray were both staring now, and Gerard looked more then pissed.
Whoops.
Wait, what?!
Was he mad because I was on the floor with his little brother? Was it because of what happened last night, or was it because it was his little brother and he was more then a little over protective of him.
Whatever the case, he walked over to us just as Ryan pulled us to our feet.
"Get lost, Way." Ryan growled.
"Pleasure." He said. I felt a burning pain, and then everything went black.
*Gerard's Point of View*
"Ray, you're staring at my baby brother, is there something you'd like to tell me?" I asked, only half jokingly.
"What? Uh... no!" He said, sounding almost flustered.
"Ray Toro. My my my, I'm disappointed."
Ray frowned a little, "Shut up would you? What was with you in the hallway today?" He changed the subject hastily.
"Uh... nothing." I hurried out. "Nothing, I just didn't feel like bloodying my nice shirt." I told him. I was wearing a white Smiths tee-shirt, and I was only half-lying. It hurt to ignore Frank, and it hurt even worse to hurt him for some reason, and I didn't particularly like it. I couldn't like him... could I?
No... that was preposterous...
Or maybe it wasn't...
Ray grabbed my hair and pulled hard, and out of reflex I punched him straight in the nose, landing him on his ass.
"Ack!" I joked on the coffee that was still in my mouth from about a minute ago, and I hopped to my feet, pulling Ray up. "Gaah! I'm really sorry!" I squeaked.
"You were staring at him." Ray planted his hands on his hips, and he stood all sassy and shit, watching me with a smug smile. "Totally was not!" I defended. Frank was looking at us curiously.
"You've got a crush on Itsy-Bitsy Iero!" Ray teased, laughing.
"You've got a crush on Mikey." I snapped.
Ray went pale.
I noticed that Frank had left his seat, and was drawing near us, probably listening.
"I totally do not!" Ray exclaimed.
I snickered, "Let's just shut up and agree that neither of us are entirely straight." I suggested, and we both sat back down.
Ray wrinkled his nose, "Does that mean we don't have to pick on your brother and his friend anymore?" He questioned.
I scowled, "Not so."
"Fine." He grumbled.
Then there was a crashing sound, and Ryan had stood up from my brothers table and began to cross the floor, where I was Frank and Mikey with tangled limbs.
For some reason, jealousy burned in the pit of my stomach, and before I realized what I was doing I stood up and stalked over to them.
"Get lost, Way." Ryan hissed, pulling Frank and Mikey to their feet.
"Pleasure." And I hit Frank in the stomach as hard as I could, before walking away. He hit his head on the linoleum floor, and his eyes flickered shut.
"Nice dude." Ray said sarcastically as I returned to the table.
